Electro Wizard is unlocked from Arena 11 (Electro Valley). The Electro Wizard has a shocking start as he deploys a Zap spell when her lands. He then goes to town with dual lightning attacks.
Strategies for using Electro Wizard
The Electro Wizard is an incredibly versatile card that is efficient at taking out swarms with his spawn Zap, but can also hold his own as a ranged attacker. Although the Electro Wizard is mainly used on defense, he is also great for counter pushing and resetting the Sparky or the Inferno Tower / Dragon.
His spawn Zap is very useful at taking out small units, then counter pushing. The Zap that is summoned from him will be an equal level Zap. If you are using him for his Zap, it is important to not use it on bigger units, like Barbarians. Although he will hit them, he will be destroyed instantly due to his low health. Instead, you should place him in the center to pull them and try to put another card in front to tank for him. The Electro Wizard is very good at stopping charging cards, but you should support him with other units to keep him alive. That way, you can also counter push with him in the back supporting your other units.
On offense, the Electro Wizard can provide ranged support while also stunning units, which also slows down their attack speed. If he is in front of another unit, and it passes him, his stun will reset the tower to attack the closest unit. This is very important to his counter attack ability. The Electro Wizard can also be used in conjunction with big tanks to reset the Inferno Tower, Inferno Dragon, or Sparky. He is able to shut them down incredibly well. Just watch out for other units that your opponent might play to protect it, and the Fireball.
Best Electro Wizard Decks
The Electro Wizard does very well against the Hog Rider. If the Hog Rider is deployed alone, he can prevent it from getting more than one hit. It is suggested that you provide support for it as the Hog Rider is typically not sent in alone. The Electro Wizard can also shut down Sparky very well. His spawn Zap and his regular double attacks will completely reset it, allowing your other units to easily take it out.
You can replace the Electro Wizard with other ranged units, but they will have the unique ability to take out swarms. If you are looking for something more damaging, they provide a good alternative. Zappies also provide the same reset effect, and can be split, but aren’t very good right now.
