“ Spawns an army of Skeletons. Meet Larry and his friends Harry, Terry, Gerry, Mary, etc.”
Skeleton Army is unlocked from Training Camp. Skeleton army spawns 15 Skeletons in a group. They quickly go to town on the first unit in sight and do immense damage but are very vulnerable to splash damage.
The names of the skeletons are Larry, Harry, Gerry, Terry, Mary, Barry, Cherry, Karrie, Faerie, Scary, Sherry, Gary, McClary, Huckleberry, and LeDoot.
Strategies for using Skeleton Army
Skeletons are one of the most impactful cards when left alone. In fact, they have the highest damage of any troop in the game. To make up for this, they are incredibly easy to counter by splash cards and cheap spells.
Since they are so easily countered and can be destroyed by Zap or predicted by The Log or Arrows, it is important to not be so reliant on the Skeleton Army. Being overconfident with their usage can easily lead to your tower being destroyed quickly and early in the game. This is the main reason that they are not used in high-level play. You should try to have a backup plan when using the Skeleton Army. An example of this would be using it and the Inferno Tower. This way, your opponent will be forced on which one to Zap.
Skeletons are not very useful on offense because of their slow speed and they are easily countered by splash units. However, they can be used as a shield for units like Royal Giant to keep single target units from killing your tanks.
Decks for Skeleton Army
Skeleton Army is typically used in Lavahound decks instead of Guards or Barbarians or bait decks.
Although Skeleton Army is an Epic card, it can be replaced relatively easily. Goblin Gang is its obvious replacement, and many players believe that Goblin Gang is the superior option. Other swarm cards also make a suitable replacement.
