Night Witch Summary
“ Summons Bats to do her bidding, even after death! If you get too close, she isn’t afraid of pitching in with her mean-looking battle staff.”
The Night Witch is unlocked from Arena 5 (Spell Valley). The Night Witch periodically summons Bats and also can go to town with her staff. She also spawns 4 Bats when she dies that help clean up.
Strategies
The Night Witch has come a long way since her release. Originally, she was one of the most overpowered cards at release. Night Witch cycle became a viable deck that featured Clone, Rage, and Mirror to create a mass amount of Night Witches. After two nerfs, she was used in Golem decks until she slowly died out. After receiving a buff that increased the number of Bats spawned after her death, she became viable in a multitude of decks.
Night Witch is typically used in heavy beatdown decks. She functions as a support in big pushes, defense, and a counter pushing troop. On offense, the Night Witch is best used behind as support to big tanks. Placing her in the back is typically the best play since it allows time for her Bats to pile up. However, she can still be useful due to her high melee damage and death spawns. Her death spawn, in particular, is incredibly useful since it makes her resistant to heavy spells and allows for her to clean up units effectively, even after her death.
The Night Witch can also be surprisingly effective on defense. Her Bats can help her dish out a very high amount of damage while also proving a dual-threat. If you have a mini-tank to distract splash troops. she can easily take out large tanks. It is crucial to prevent support units from taking shots at her since she has low health and splash units can take out her and the Bats. The Night Witch is also a decent counter to Lavahound and Graveyard. You can also use her to take out smaller win conditions like Hog Riders and Miners. Make sure to place her as early as possible to give her bats time to spawn.
The Night Witch can easily be taken out by splash units like the Wizard or Executioner since they can hit her and the Bats. When she is behind a tank, she is much more of a threat. Tank killers can be used, but you should have a small spell to take out the Bats that spawn when she dies.

Matchups
The Night Witch can be easily taken out by the Rocket and Lightning. Unfortunately, the Bats that spawn afterward will still survive the spell, so it is important to have a plan to take care of these, especially if you use Lightning.
Replacements
The Night Witch is an easily replaced card. Before it’s buff, Golem players used Dark Prince or another ranged card instead.
