5 Best Cards for Boat Defense in Clash Royale
- Wizard
I mean who doesn’t want an all-round reliable splash card? The Wizard who costs 5 elixir might be a bit expensive in normal circumstances, but since boat defense towers generate elixir 4 times the normal speed, a Wizard costs less than 2 elixir! Since most Boat Battle decks uses clone, a lone wizard can some times take down a whole push! But the Wizard can still be countered by hard hitters like Prince, E Barb, or Mini P.E.K.K.A., so you’ll want a Tank like Giant Skelly or P.E.K.K.A. to spawn before him. You can also use Executioner instead of Wizard for around the value.

Six units with shields is more than a defender could ask. They can counter most Tanks and the only effective counter to them is Mega Knight. But since that very same Mega Knight is probably the one activating your tower, then you shouldn’t really worry too much about it. But to be on the safe side, you can pair this card with P.E.K.K.A. to counter the Mega Knight.
Why use only one musketeer when you can have three? In Boat Battles ranged units is a must, especially ones with high DPS such as Musketeers. With three of them together you can easily rip down any Tanks air or ground in Clash Royale Clan Wars 2. And when they reach the enemy’s king tower, they only need around one or two shoots to bring it down. But since they are fragile glass cannons, they are easily killed. So, you should pair them with more beefy units to cover that weakness.
- P.E.K.K.A.
When you combine Tank with Tank-Killer you get a Perfectly Enraged Cannibal… wait… that doesn’t sound right…. So, the point is being a Tank/Tank-Killer, P.E.K.K.A. can help you rip down any Tank while also shielding allies from attacks. He can easily take on cards like Mega Knight or Giant Skeleton and still win. But he has a long line of counter as well. Inferno cards and swarmies are some of them. To cover P.E.K.K.A.’s weakness, you can pair him with splash units or electro cards who can counter swarmies and Infernos respectively. You can also swap P.E.K.K.A. for Giant Skeleton to get the death bomb.
It was hard choosing who should be first place, Mega night or P.EK.K.A.. But we ended up with Mega Knight. Although P.E.K.K.A. would win against MK in a one-on-one fight in Clash Royale, but Mega Knight can counter a push more efficiently with his wider range. Finding a player who sends troops one-by-one in Boat Battle is highly unlikely. Most people will form pushes. This means Mega Knight will have the upper hand since he is able to reach both Tank and support. His weakness however is Air units and single unit Tank killers. This means he should be paired with ranged DPS like musketeers.
