Heya guys Lolman here coming to you with a variant of a pretty popular deck that I find works super well with the meta right now!

Summary

Taking a look at the meta, it can be summarized to 3 Musketeers, Hog Cycle, Giant/ Golem beatdown, P.E.K.K.A control and Bridge spam.

This deck in a nutshell falls into that category as a 3 Musketeers deck.

However….. What counters 3 Musketeers? Golem Tornado decks do a very good job at clumping up the 3M onto the Golem so Baby Dragon etc shred them.

2.6 Hog cycle as well!

Bridge spam can work wonders against 3M as well if it’s used by a good player and they got Zap or Arrows that’s basically GG.

So taking all that into account, I made a one card sub that helped me secure a LOT of wins against said hard counters by introducing a counter to most their win conditions. As the title implies, yes P.E.K.K.A 3M is back.

**This is pretty much the basic 3M beatdown deck albeit with P.E.K.K.A not Battle Ram. P.E.K.K.A not Ram does = slower cycle but not by a whole lot relative to the previous avg Elixir cost as P.E.K.K.A is only 3 more than the Battle Ram**

Without further ado onto the deck-

Classic P.E.K.K.A 3M Deck

Clash Royale elixir collector

Elixir Collector

This is an expensive deck and like all expensive decks, you need to take care that you actually Pump up and make positive Elixir trades.

I would Pump up early on 9/10 times unless I have a bad starting hand.

Ie- Ice Golem, P.E.K.K.A, 3M, Pump and next card is Zap. This is very bad as a starting hand and pumping up, if punished with say Bandit + Dark Prince+ Zap or Poison that can lead to well… Losing a Tower.

Will elaborate more on starting plays once we get to gameplay.

Clash Royale Three Musketeers3 Musketeers –  One of 2 win conditions. This is a Miner, 3M P.E.K.K.A hybrid deck for the most part.

3M should be used on defense early on, or as punish pushes.

If you defend a push for an extremely positive trade and your opponent overcommits to destroy the Pump. Ie- Bandit+ Ram+ Dark Prince. You defend with Horde, then they Poison Collector.

Then I’d do something like P.E.K.K.A at the back and 3M in middle when P.E.K.K.A reaches the bridge and that’s pretty much GG, Oops, Thanks, *Crying face*

Clash Royale Minion HordeMinion Horde – Bait out a spell like Fireball or Poison and you’re gold to defend with this card.

Offensively should be used on few occasions. Ie- I love using skill Horde vs the P.E.K.K.A Fireball/ Poison bait deck.

Badly placed Goblin Hut that won’t draw the Horde should be punished with Minion Horde Miner other lane.

With Zap, they will struggle to defend the push and with Log in the deck they will suffer. (This is assuming you drew out a Poison onto your Collector as they will almost always Poison the first Collector).

Clash Royale Goblin GangGoblin Gang

Can be replaced with Guards for better defense vs pushes like double Prince but I find the Gang more well rounded hitting air and all plus more of an offensive threat and greater DPS!

Adding to the spell bait element, typically though this is one of the decks cycle cards early on.

Should always be in hand in my opinion.

Gang or Horde that is, if you wanted to Pump up.

Clash Royale P.E.K.K.AP.E.K.K.A

Defensive card at least early on, but late game I would place her in the back building up a push. (Unless I am facing Golem or Giant in which case I’d wait for them to make a move.)

Great damage, destroys Golems, Giants and even other P.E.K.K.A!

Use her wisely though as she is 7 Elixir and note sometimes it’s best to let her get taken down on your opponents side than overcommiting.

If you have a P.E.K.K.A walking down the lane after defending a Hog, they Exe and your hand was Ice Golem, Zap, Goblin Gang and Minion Horde. Best not give them Tornado value

Clash Royale MinerMiner

This is mainly for taking out enemy pumps and one of your 2 tanks for the 3 Musketeers.

If you find your opponent focusing on the 2M side, you can Ice Golem in front of 2M then Miner Tower in side of 1M.

Great at punishing pumps as well and finishing off towers. This is sort of your Tower finishing *spell*

Clash Royale Ice GolemIce Golem

Great synergy with Zap, good at kiting opponents cards as well to other lane and tanking hits+ slowing down troops temporarily.

Works quite well as a 2 Elixir cycle card, that being said you need to know if you need to hold onto this card vs certain decks.

Clash Royale ZapZap

Self explanatory.

Gameplay

Early game (3:00 – 2:00)

Pump up! This deck is really expensive so till 2x Elixir, pumping up and defending is the best means of action.

Provided you have a decent starting hand!

What I mean by this is you should have Ice Golem, Zap and Goblin Gang/Horde in the starting hand/next card in line.

It’s okay if you have one card missing but you need either Gang or Horde as either your next card in line or already in the starting hand.

This is because those are your cheap defensive cards you will use in the case of them rushing.

bad starting hand

Here I had a really bad hand. Ice Golem alone would have done nothing vs a rush if my opponent decided to do so. Cycled Ice Golem then saw Horde next so was comfortable pumping up.
If no Pump cycling cards is the say to go. Ice Golem in the back, maybe a Goblin Gang split, safe spot Miner (Not that huge of a deal as you have a Pump to counter theirs).

So for the first minute of the game, figure out opponents deck, pump up and defend.

Identify if you will be getting a pretty early 1-0 win or if it will be a long game where you will be pretty much playing a Pump game. For example, vs another 3M deck or like X-Bow, where it’ll be hard to defeat unless you’ve got a Pump city going on.

Mid game (2:00-1:00)

Around now, knowing opponents deck, you need to get your cycle working the right way for you.

For example, Have Ice Golem when they have Dark Prince, P.E.K.K.A for Golem and Miner for Pump.

Can be done by cycling at right times ie- Ice Golem in the back etc, as long as they’re not essential cards.

Say your opponent just used a Dark Prince and you defended with your Miner? Then you’d want to make sure you keep Ice Golem for next time he has Dark Prince unless the person rushes with say a Miner Minion Horde where you can Ice Golem+ Zap for a +4 trade. Etc.

Pump up! Pumping up mid-game is way less riskier because you’d want to have built up an advantage.

Occasionally I don’t even wait till 10 Elixir before I drop the next Pump at times.

In short, Pump up! Save cards that need to be saved in order to make your cycle work for your advantage!

Late game (1:00 – End)

Around now, you will be playing your 3M more aggressively.

I would avoid cycling in the back. Depending on what you face the order oyu drop cards will be different.

Beatdown will be dropping tanks so P.E.K.K.A that lane then save for 3M, punish Horde works perfectly albeit Miner + Horde is much easier defended in 2x Elixir.

While not playing losing moves like P.E.K.K.A in the bridge followed by a Horde vs a deck with Fireball Goblin Gang or Ice Golem Zap + something to kill P.E.K.K.A, you will want to play this offensively.

You have Ice Golem, Miner as tanks for an example if you wanted to save the P.E.K.K.A!

So in a nutshell, amp up your game, play aggressive but not careless by wasting counters to their cards that could cost you the game!

Match-ups

Clash Royale GolemGolem

Golem double Prince Tornado or a Poison/ Lightning variant. Both get destroyed by this deck.

You typically want to punish their pumps with your Miner and build-up your own Elixir with your own pumps.

As you do this, you will draw ahead stealing the game from square 1. P.E.K.K.A same lane as Golem, typically split 2m on opposite lane and 1 m on P.E.K.K.A lane.

Prepare to defend Prince/ Dark Prince etc on opposite lane while you typically want to keep your spell ready for your 1m lane.

Defense is straghtforward. P.E.K.K.A hits Golem, Horde or Gang etc clear back end troops while P.E.K.K.A tanks for ie- Baby Dragon shots.

Clash Royale GiantGiant Beatdown

Very easy win!

Early game try to not rely too heavily on your P.E.K.K.A.

If you Pump up when they Giant and then you play a P.E.K.K.A same lane, the P.E.K.K.A is a -2 trade to start off with, unless you play a perfect Ice Golem to kite the Princes if he double Prince’s opposite lane you will lose your Tower!

So I would try to save the P.E.K.K.A till at least the Dark Prince is behind the Giant!

In which case, defending and cycling for a second Pump should be easy! Play cautiously and don’t overcommit and you should be perfectly fine!

  vs giant beatdown

Here it was 2x Elixir so I had a rather easy time but I defended the Giant and push with P.E.K.K.A while I only used 5 Elixir on the double Prince.
My Ice Golem tanked the DP charge and a few hits while I played the Gang in such a way that Prince/ DP will aggro onto the P.E.K.K.A once the last is killed!

Clash Royale Hog RiderHog Cycles

Honestly not too popular right now, Hog cycles are simple enough.

They will have either Rocket, Poison or Fireball.

Just bait spell and punish.

You should never Pump up unless you have a Hog counter in hand but that being said keep track of your opponents spells because well depending on what calibre players you face you might face skilled opponents playing pre-emptive spells.

You have to outsmart them by outthinking em.

Clash Royale Three Musketeers3 Musketeers Mirror match

Pump up, defend their miners and get their pumps with your Miner + Zap and swarm troops if required.

Not too tough because when you guys start playing 3M same lane well… P.E.K.K.A 3 shots the 3M and tanks pretty much every single hot from all the other troops leaving you a very very easy win.

3m mirror matchup

Defend your Pump and take down opponents Pump.

Clash Royale Goblin GangLog bait – Not too tough

Save Gang or Horde for Princess and Barrel.

Use your Zap on offense vs this deck.

Once I get the Pump advantage I will start playing the P.E.K.K.A in the back and building a push somewhat like a beatdown deck, get them to overcommit, take care of Princess with Miner and you should be gold!

Not hard just don’t let them punish you early on by pumping up with a bad hand and unable to defend a Knight+ Barrel or Prince+ Barrel push.

You will take damage early on and from their later barrels but shouldn’t be too hard.

Clash Royale P.E.K.K.AP.E.K.K.A Miner control

Vs Log this is a free win!

Pump, 3M, Goblin Gang, Horde. They think they’re Fireball bait? Well this trumps that.

If you are facing Zap then that makes things a little trickier that being said it’s not that huge of a deal.

Keep pumping up and baiting out the Poison. Then start cycling your 3M in the back.

I typically P.E.K.K.A right in front of my 1 Musket then defend the P.E.K.K.A they play on my 2m with a Horde.

I usually play Horde before the P.E.K.K.A mainly so they don’t attempt to defend it with a Royal Ghost which can put you in a pickle.

Not a tough match-up but you need to bait out spells and cards in a smart manner.

Also punish Horde+ Miner on badly placed Goblin huts.

Conclusion

Quite a solid deck give it a shot!

It doesn’t have an enormous amount of weaknesses that being said managing Elixir, making positive trades and keeping track of rotation are key skills when utilizing this deck.

It can beat pretty much every deck out there, unless you face someone with, Poison, Fireball and Lightning which makes life impossible for you. Which is unlikely so I’d say give this deck a shot, it covers 3M weaknesses like Golem and should give you the success I’ve been having with the deck.

My previous 4 challenges using this deck being 12,10,11,12 respectively.

Barbarian Barrel Draft Challenge Tips That Help You Win!

52
barbarian barrel challenge

barbarian barrel challenge

Barbarian Barrel Basics

Cost Target Range Width
3 Ground 6.5 tiles 3.9 tiles
Level Damage Tower damage Barbarian Level
1 180 63 6
2 198 70 7
3 217 76 8
4 239 84 9
5 262 92 10
6 288 101 11
7 316 111 12
8 347 122 13

First, think about it like a poorman’s The Log.

It has moderate damage and radius. It can push back almost all ground units (except Battle Ram, charging Princes or heavy units like the Giant and P.E.K.K.A).

After rolling, it release a Barbarian. ZERO delay!

There are situations when you make pushes and want to protect it against swarms. Use Barbarian Barrel. You will have a Barbarian to strengthen your pushes afterwards.

Barbarian Barrel is very good vs Magic Archer when you don’t have any other counter in the rotation.

It is also counter glass cannons (Witch, Musketeer etc) extremely well, thus making it a great counter to beatdown pushes.

Use it like the Log, more than anything, it can counter Goblin Barrels, Skeletons, Goblins and Princesses very well.

When trying to tank with it, deploy it with a lead time like the Miner, it takes a few seconds for the Barbarian to pop out

Don’t deploy directly against the tower, a single Barbarian doesn’t last very long and is very easy to counter for cheap.

Add it to existing pushes especially if he’s likely to use swarm troops defensively or if he’s going to try to counter your Ram with a troop like the Knight (who will be distracted)

Last but not least, It is a great counter to Hut placed at the middle.

Think about all of the cases above while picking cards.

Supercell made a really good introducing video  for the card. Take a look and you can see all of the noteworthy interactions.

General Draft Tips:

Pick a Win Condition: This is very simply!

Picking a win condition is the most important thing when drafting, because it’s what allows you to take down your opponent’s towers.

Because Flying Machine will be around in every match, you’ll have to pick your win condition carefully. All tanks work great with the Flying Machine, so if you already have picked the Flying Machine, something like a Lava Hound would be much better than a Hog Rider.

The best win conditions in Draft Challenge:

Clash Royale GiantClash Royale Hog RiderClash Royale Goblin BarrelClash Royale Battle RamClash Royale GolemClash Royale MinerClash Royale GraveyardClash Royale Lava HoundClash Royale Mega Knight

These are the best win conditions in this challenge are Giant, Lava Hound and Golem if you have Flying Machine because they have great synergy together.

Pick card that counter the other: Another straight-forward tip!

For example, If you have the Minion Horde & Arrows Draft, go for Arrows.

Pay attention to what you are giving away: A bit more advanced tip!

Sometimes, the better choice is about making your opponent’s deck worse, not making your deck better.

For example, If you get the choice between Spear Goblins and Rage, go with Spear Goblins. Spear Goblins can’t make your deck better but Rage is definitely one of the worst cards in Draft Challenge.

Cards which are bad in the meta could be OP in the Draft Challenge:

For example, the Witch.

In the normal meta games, people can easily counter Witch with meta cards such as Bowler, Executioner, Knight, Lightning, Baby Dragon etc. However, in Draft Challenges, having those cards is not guaranteed.

Try to pick cards which require specific counters:

Here are some of those cards:

Clash Royale Inferno DragonClash Royale PrincessClash Royale SparkyClash Royale GraveyardClash Royale Goblin BarrelClash Royale Inferno TowerClash Royale BalloonClash Royale Skeleton ArmyClash Royale Goblin GangClash Royale Elite Barbarians

For example, Sparky!

If you have Sparky in your hand while the opponent doesn’t have any Zap effect or swarm card, he will find it extremely hard to deal with the Sparky. This is even worse If you have a good Sparky combo such as Giant Sparky.

Don’t forget spell!

Always pick one of these: Rocket, Lightning, Fireball and Poison.

In case you don’t have any win condition, or your win condition gets countered, you still have something to deal damage.

Last but not least, getting positive Elixir trade with spells is not hard!

Ensure your deck makes scene

Example:

  • First pick: Graveyard vs Mega Minion
  • Second pick: Baby Dragon vs Musketeer

Although Musketeer can solo kill Baby Dragon, pick Baby Dragon because it is a hard counter to your Graveyard. Also, If you are lucky, you can combo it with Tornado later on.

Consistent Miner Goblin Barrel Deck for Challenges

61
miner goblin barrel

It is I, hybrid FTW, here with my first guide on Clash.World.

I have been playing around with this super fun Miner Poison bait deck that has been super fun to play with but quite consistent.

Without further ado, let’s get into this long guide.

miner goblin barrel

Clash Royale MinerClash Royale PrincessClash Royale Ice WizardClash Royale Goblin Barrel
Clash Royale Goblin GangClash Royale TornadoClash Royale PoisonClash Royale Ice Spirit

copy deck

battle ram chip analytics

Pros:

Cons:

  • Requires a lot of skill.
  • Hard to master.
  • Contains 3 Legendaries.

Consistent Miner Poison Bait Deck

Clash Royale MinerMiner: This is one of the two win conditions in this deck and your most consistent damage dealer.

The Miner is for constantly chipping the Tower to shreds.

Paired with his best buddy, the Poison, he creates such a good synergy and will lead to hundreds of damage.

One of the most important tips I can give on the Miner is to mix up the placements. This is the very key, and will potentially be the factor of considerable amounts of damage.

Clash Royale Goblin BarrelGoblin Barrel: Even with the nerf, the Goblin Barrel is still a force to be reckoned with.

With the high prevalence of Zap over Log these days, the Barrel is almost always guaranteed damage.

Paired with an Ice Spirit, it is a great punishment for beat down decks.

Placements are not too important and I advise that you always use the middle placement unless you know they have Tornado or The Log.

Clash Royale Goblin GangGoblin Gang: The reason I use Goblin Gang over Guards is simple that I love adding the bait element to the deck.

The Goblin provides such versatility and is mainly used to take out glass cannons and whatnot.

The Goblin Gang also synergizes very well with the Miner as a punish.

With the double Prince decks running rampid, the Goblin Gang will be a must to block their charges.

Clash Royale PrincessPrincess

The Princess isn’t all that versatile these days, but in bait decks, she’s a beast.

If your opponent has no proper response to the Princess, stacking Princesses will be devastating.

Not only does the Princess provide loads of bait potential, but she also synergizes very well with the Tornado, providing so much value against beatdown decks.

Clash Royale TornadoTornado: Simply one of the best cards in the game.

Paired with splash units like the Ice Wizard and Princess, the Tornado will make your opponents quit the game.

The Tornado also wrecks Hog Riders, allowing the Hog to never get a hit off if timed and placed correctly.

Not only all that, but the Tornado provides king activation which can provide an advantage throughout the match.

Clash Royale PoisonPoison: IMO the best spell in the game.

The Poison counters so many meta win conditions like the Graveyard, and Three Musketeers, and is great verse Golem pushes.

The Poison works very well offensively, clearing a path to get hundreds of damage if not properly responded to.

Never hesitate to Poison Musketeers and other such glass cannons when places in the back of the king.

Overall, such an op card and even more op in this deck.

Clash Royale Ice SpiritIce Spirit: The Ice Spirit is mainly used for… well everything!

My favorite card in the game, and is debatably the best IMO and many others to its incredible utility.

For only one Elixir, you can literally never go wrong with it behind the the Barrel or the Miner.

Ice Spirit at the bridge is also a very good starting hand, and according to surgical Goblin, the best and his personal favorite.

Clash Royale Ice WizardIce Wizard: Once useless, but now one of the best leggys in control decks.

The Ice Wizard is your primary air defense against Balloon pushes, Minions, Minion Horde, Bats, and whatnot.

Against beatdown decks, the Ice Wizards splash and movement slow down paired with the Tornado will be vital for the support.

General Gameplan

Best starting moves:

  • Ice Spirit at the bridge
  • Goblin Barrel
  • Splitting Goblin Gang behind the King.

Early Game: (3:00-2:00)

With this deck, it is solely about constantly chipping away with the Miner and Goblin Barrel.

Try to get a feel for your opponent’s deck and playing style, for this is vital to the success of the match.

Identify all your opponents spells, and adjust from there.

For example, if you know they have Log, don’t throw a Barrel when it’s in cycle.

If you know they have Zap, constantly throw Barrel+Ice Spirit combos.

Always counterpush with with whatever remaining troops you have leftover, for this is key.

Constantly try to predict your opponent’s next move.

Just think to yourself what you would do if you were them.

Mid game: (2:00-100)

By now, you should know what deck your opponents using and the best way to counter it.

Continue to chip down the their towers with miners and Goblin barrels.

I wouldn’t recommend doing much Miner poisons before 2 times Elixir unless:

  1. You have an Elixir advantage and can Catch something like a Skeleton Army or Goblin Gang, or
  2. You can get a lot of value.

A key thing that is a lot more important than people would think is cycling Princesses.

By this I mean if they don’t have a direct spell counter like Log or Arrows, it will help a ton to stack them vs. three Musketeers and Golems to stack them.

Late Game: (1:00-overtime)

At this point, you’re trying to finish off any alive towers and just playing hard-core defense.

If in a 1-0 situation, never go for the second crown unless unless you know for a fact the match is won.

Use your Ice Wizard/Princess+Tornado to clean up any opposing pushes. At this point, protect your towers and you’re looking golden.

As always, make sure to mix up your Miner placements so their not easily predicted.

Never over commit to pushes, because if you don’t have enough for a proper defense, well… GGWP.

Matchups:

Clash Royale Goblin GangLog bait: This match is an easier one than most.

In this match, it really comes down to who throws the most Goblin Barrels. (and Miners in this case.)

This deck has the faster cycle, so it shouldn’t be much of a hard one than the original bait deck, even if they have Tornado.

Make sure to activate your king with the Tornado as soon as possible, for it will be very important in the progression of the match.

If planted correctly, the Tornado and also deny all damage from the Barrel.

Just Poison off their Princesses, it’s too easy to predict a Miner coming at her.

Do all these things, and you’ll be set up for a very easy match.

Clash Royale Hog RiderHog Rider: This is the easiest Match out of them all.

You have the best counter in the game to Hog, the Tornado, so it should never be a problem.

Bait out all the light spells to your Barrel with your Princesses and Goblin Gangs, do a few Miner poisons, and your all set for an easy victory.

Clash Royale Lava HoundLava Hound: This one is a pretty even matchup.

You have Ice Wiz+Tornado for their Lava Hound pushes, and the Princess can also help in taking out the Minions.

If they have Balloon, which 99.9% of the players will have, this is were the problems could start.

Try to not let them get enough of an Elixir to launch a whole out Lava Hound push, and between your Princess, Ice Wiz and Tornado, you’ll be okay.

Clash Royale Three Musketeers3 Musketeers: This is also an easy matchup.

Just keep chipping with the Goblin barrels and miners throughout the match.

Never be afraid to Poison their pumps, because you can cycle back Poison for their muskies.

The real problem for the Muskie player is that they have no way in dealing with your Princess.

Stack as much Princesses can, just be ready for their Miner with the Goblin Gang.

Clash Royale GolemGolem: Not too hard of a matchup.

You have Goblins to stop the Prince charges and Ice Wizard + Tornado to deal with the Night Witches behind the Golem.

Miner Poison their pumps early on, for you will giving the Golem player exactly what they want: an Elixir advantage.

In 2x Elixir, make sure to punish the Golem with Goblin Barrel+Ice Spirit combos for this will deal a substantial amount of damage.

Clash Royale GraveyardGraveyard: This is an easy matchup because you have 2 major Graveyard counters: The Ice Wiz, and the best counter, the Poison.

The best way defend a Graveyard push is Goblin Gang or ice wiz for the support and Poison for the Graveyard.

hat being said, the only way you should ever lose is your connection goes out, but realistically, not a hard match whatsoever, just make sure you don’t over commit on offense so you have enough for a Poison and another 3 Elixir card.

Conclusion:

Well, I hope you guys enjoyed this 1400+ word guide, because I spent way too much time on it.

P.E.K.K.A Splash Control Deck

Clash Royale P.E.K.K.AP.E.K.K.A: Yup, that’s right, she’s back, again.

She is your counter to the tanks or win conditions to your opponent’s deck.

She is a very big investment so be careful when using her.

She should only be placed on the map in Double Elixir unless your opponent forces her out of your hand (incoming MK, Golem, Giant, etc.).

Clash Royale Dark PrinceDark Prince: He is so much stronger now.

DP is making his way back into the meta since he is such a strong card now.

He is the new Battle Ram.

DP synergies perfectly with Magic Archer and Tornado.

Clash Royale Magical ArcherMagic Archer: A light version of Executioner.

Executioner and Princess had a kid and BOOM, Magic Archer came into existence.

He will slowly help chip damage off the Tower, in a game I had he actually came in clutch.

Clash Royale Electro WizardElectro Wizard: I’ve been seeing plenty of sparkies and Inferno dragons, he will help with those.

The Electro Wizard can save your P.E.K.K.A from being melted against a Inferno Dragon/Tower.

Clash Royale Ice SpiritIce Spirit

Cycle card, you can put Bats or some other defense if you don’t care about a faster cycle.

Clash Royale TornadoTornado: Your clutch card.

It clumps all your opponent’s troops so your Dark Prince and Magic Archer can clean them up.

You can also use it to activate the king Tower. I’ve been seeing to many Hog decks so you really need Tornado to help hard counter them.

Clash Royale ZapZap: Pretty self-explanatory, right?

Place, stun, reset, kill.

Clash Royale PoisonPoison: Your high damage spell.

Poison is mainly in this deck for pumps. Use it to kill pumps and get value killing glass cannons or swarm units.

It will also help on defense against Lava Hounds.

General Gameplan

3:00-1:00

To start off the game you should start a card in the back.

Preferably Dark Prince in the back or Electro Wizard.

This period of time is just learning their deck and keeping their win conditions and hard counters in hand.

If you know the current meta you should have a good guess as to what deck they’re playing by the first 3-4 cards.

For example if someone plays Mega Minion, Night Witch, then Baby Dragon, I immediately know that this is almost for sure a Golem deck.

Another one is if they play a Goblin Gang, then a Pump, then a Miner/Minion Horde, I think it is 3 Musketeers and I change the way I play.

You play different against 3 Musks vs against Golem.

Cycling chip damage at the beginning is never a bad move.

Use Ice-Spirits, E-Wiz, Dark Prince, and Zap. P.E.K.K.A and Magic Archer as well as Tornado and Poison should only played reactively, E-Wiz is not so much but I like to save him so I don’t get punished with Inferno Dragon or Sparky other lane.

1:00-0:00

Their Tower should be down to 2000-1500 by now. You should be playing reactively.

Then after you defend, go for a huge counter push.

Try to play smartly and switch it up.

Do something that your opponent would never suspect, like a P.E.K.K.A on the bridge other lane.

Doing something bold will almost always pay off in the end unless you do it to much.

Also during Double Elixir is the time to do predictive plays and lots of them.

If your opponent is playing bait you can drop the Dark Prince behind the king Tower a little bit before your opponent Goblin Barrels and the Dark Prince will completely splash all of the Goblins if it is charging.

Or if you know your opponent will Golem in the back, pressure other lane when you think they are at 10 Elixir and will drop the Golem.

Overtime

This deck chips very slowly so it is better in challenges since overtime is a juicy 3 minutes.

You should be playing a lot of Dark Princes at the bridge pressuring their opposite lane.

I would generally play P.E.K.K.A in the back same lane as their push.

Once they overcommit on their push to kill the P.E.K.K.A, I drop another other lane, then I just rush them as fast as I can.

I only do this against beatdown decks and if I think I won’t be able to beat their next push.

A lot of people don’t expect a P.E.K.K.A at the bridge and they won’t have enough to defend it.

Once your Tower is super low stall by Tornadoing everything back.

Clash Royale GolemGolem: Try to get as much damage as you can before Double Elixir.

As soon as they drop their Golem you should punish them with a Dark Prince and Ice Spirit opposite lane.

Either that or you can apply constant pressure with a Dark Prince in the back.

You should drop Magic Archer behind your arena Tower in the center tile to line up with everything and hit the Golem and supporting troops.

When the Golem is about ⅓ away from your Tower P.E.K.K.A, then when the Golem is ⅓-¼ HP left Tornado everything together.

Keep repeating until you win

Clash Royale GiantGiant: Save your P.E.K.K.A for the Giant and Magic Archer + Dark Prince if they split lane push.

If they split lane push you can pull everything to the center on your side with the Tornado.

Clash Royale P.E.K.K.AP.E.K.K.A

Let their P.E.K.K.A come to your side so you can defend then counter push.

Magic Archer and Tornado their supporting troops or Poison them, just make sure their push doesn’t get to your Tower, then go in for a heavy counter push.

ou can also use the Dark Prince’s shield to soak up hits against the P.E.K.K.A while your P.E.K.K.A kills theirs.

Clash Royale MinerMiner: Tornado the Miner to the king to start.

Then, Dark Prince on the Miner and P.E.K.K.A support troops

If they drop Inferno go opposite lane with Dark Prince. Try to let as little chip damage as possible.

Clash Royale Goblin GangBait: Tornado Barrel to king. Then Poison their princesses and Zap Goblin barrels.

If they spam a lot use Magic Archer and Tornado.

Clash Royale Three Musketeers3M: Poison the Pump.

Use P.E.K.K.A on the more supported side (most of the time the 1 musk) and Magic Archer, Dark Prince and Tornado the 2 musks.

If you know they will drop 3 musks get ready to Tornado them to one side or all together so a charging Dark Prince can do work on them.

Conclusion

Very strong defensively.

This deck could use more offense but is mainly built on a good defense then overwhelm them on the counterpushes.

You should  also punish your opponents mistakes even if it puts you down a lot of Elixir.

Giant Ghost Control Deck feat. Zappies – Get 12 Wins With Ease!

80
giant zappies

Hello again my peeps!

It’s me, Supermarine, back at it again with the white Vans! JUST KIDDING!

I am actually here today to share with you guys an amazing Giant Ghost Deck made by my boi Dragon Claw.

I tried it out, and got third in a 100 man tourney, along with 12 win Challenge victories!

Now that I have your attention, why don’t we get to the guide, shall we?

Giant Ghost Control Deck

Clash Royale GiantGiant: The humble Giant has been a great tank troop ever since y’all came fresh out of the Training Camp.

He has very good damage, attack speed, and health for his cost.

Speaking of cost, this guy is actually the cheapest big tank in the game, and yet he has more health than Royal Giant, Giant Skeleton and even Lava Hound if over leveled!

Just don’t place him in the back as an opener though, or you could be in for a nasty surprise when your opponent attacks!

Clash Royale Royal GhostRoyal Ghost: OoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoO… very scary!

For 3 Elixir, he goes invisible (great for defense BTW!), does area damage and even puts good sized dents in the opponent’s Arena Tower!

Here, he finds his place behind the Giant to protect him from deadly ground swarms such as Goblins.

Also, he has quite a bit of health, so Guards and other swarms used for surrounding won’t be able to do their job.

The invisibility allows him to bypass deadly single shot troops so he can attack them while they frantically shoot at the Giant.

Just watch out for splash units and spells!

Clash Royale ArrowsArrows: Our main Spell.

Use against the likes of Princess, Horde, Gang, Barrel, etc.

Mostly self explanatory. Note that it doesn’t provide knockback or stun like Zap and The Log do.

Clash Royale LightningLightning: This is a great, yet underrated heavy spell that works quite well here, despite its hard-hitting nerf to its range.

It manages to cripple the Inferno Tower, Inferno Dragon, and glass cannons like Wizard, Witch, and Musketeer.

It even rips the Elite Retards to shreds, allowing the Royal Ghost to one-shot them!

However, be very careful when using it, as it is very expensive.

If used poorly or if miscast, the opponent can punish hard with a very deadly counterpush!

Clash Royale Flying ZappiesZappies: Ah, the Zappies! So neat, so energetic (literally), and so full of value!

Zappies are great because unlike the eWiz, there are three of them in a triangular formation.

Since they are in this formation, they will attack troops or Infernos at different times, meaning that their collective stun time will be even longer than that of Electro Wizard!

On defense, these little guys have massive push stoppage power due to the collective stun (which totals to 1.5 seconds by the way), giving deadly tank killers much more time to attack before having to move to pursue the tank.

Also, since the Zappies move very slowly, you can place them in the back to invest Elixir.

It won’t be as hurtful as putting a Giant in the back, and it also means you don’t have to commit to one single lane, even if they don’t split evenly!

Be sure to protect these guys from spells like Poison and Fireball, as they will die to them!

Clash Royale GoblinGoblins: Three small, fast, green and mean killing machines.

They have very good DPS for their cost.

They can surround and kill deadly splash troops such as Executioner or Wizard with ease, although they may have trouble versus Magic Archer, Night Witch, or opposing Royal Ghosts.

They even kill mini tanks like Bandit and Battle Ram for a positive trade!

You can also use them to cycle and shape your hand as well.

Clash Royale Ice SpiritIce Spirit: Pretty self explanatory.

He freezes key troops and also helps to cycle.

He is also a cheap reset card, which sets him apart from the easier to use Fire Spirits.

Clash Royale Inferno DragonInferno Dragon: One of those troops that always brings the pain, on offense or defense!

He can absolutely murder tanks like nobody’s business, and then that heavy damage can be transitioned into offense using a counterpush!

However, be sure to help to protect him from reset cards and deadly high DPS air troops (yes, I’m talking about you Bats!), as both counter him well!

General Gameplay

3:00-1:00

At this time, you should try to play defense so that way you can find openings to punish them.

If you do, pay attention to any good counters you opponent has to the Giant, like Inferno Tower, Tombstone, or Mini P.E.K.K.A.

That way, when Double Elixir hits, you can use your cycle potential to counter their counters, and get massive damage done.

1:00-End

Now is when you attack, attack, and attack some more!

Use the increased Elixir gain rate to cycle multiple Giants and outcycle their counters (which you should have figured out during Single Elixir).

e sure to use your support spells wisely too, as they will play substantial roles during this time!

Matchups

Clash Royale GiantGiant

Simple! Use the Inferno Dragon!

If he gets Zapped or reset in any way, use Ice Spirit to freeze.

Clash Royale GolemGolem

With Double Prince dominating the metagame right now, Golem is experiencing rapid decline.

However, that doesn’t mean you won’t encounter this brute in the future. So, here’s some tidbits for when you do.

There are two options: use your Inferno Dragon to kill Golem, then counterpush with Giant, or you can punish the Golem at the back with a Giant+Ice Spirit at the bridge, then use Goblins to kill the lone tank.

Use Inferno Dragon if necessary (if you chose the 2nd option).

Clash Royale P.E.K.K.AP.E.K.K.A

This girl hard counters your Giant, so getting Arena Tower damage will be tough.

What you want to do is use (preferably on the counterpush) Inferno Dragon+Ice Spirit+Goblins.

Ice Spirit freezes, Goblins distract, Inferno D kills, meaning Giant will have free reign on offense!

Clash Royale Lava HoundLava Hound

Use Zappies to keep the Hound in place while the ID attacks anything behind.

Use Goblins on Miner (if there is one) and Arrow Pups if necessary.

Clash Royale Royal GiantRoyal Giant: See Giant.

You can virtually treat them both the same way! Lightning Elite Retards if necessary.

Clash Royale Hog RiderHog

Use Goblins to kill him quickly or Zappies to hold him in place while the Arena Tower does the damage.

Use Ice Spirit to freeze if necessary.

Clash Royale Three MusketeersThree Musketeers

The easiest thing to do would be to just use Lightning.

If split, then Lightning the 2 Musketeers, then use Goblins on the other.

Clash Royale Dark PrinceDouble Prince

With decks like Double Prince running rampant in today’s metagame, you need to be ready.

The best way to counter Double Prince using this deck is to use the Zappies to hold both Princes in place, the use the Royal Ghost to strike them both while the Tower does damage.

Use Ice Spirit to freeze or Goblins if necessary.

Clash Royale GraveyardGraveyard

Goblins, Royal Ghost, and Arrows work extremely well versus Graveyard.

Be sure to use all of your counters sparingly, especially if they are also using Freeze! Versus Graveyard Freeze, you will want to bait it out with the Royal Ghost, then use Guards.

Use Ice Spirit if necessary.

Clash Royale X-BowSiege

Giant is a very wise counter to both types of Siege structures.

It also allows you to form a counterpush with him as well, and paired with spells, the opponent may have issues defending!

If Giant is not in cycle when the structure comes out, Lightning or Royal Ghost can also be used in a pinch.

When using Royal Ghost, be sure to use Ice Spirit to force the structure to retarget.

Clash Royale MinerMiner Poison

Royal Ghost and Guards both work great against Miner, and are capable of surviving a Poison, so you shouldn’t have too much difficulty.

Use Ice Spirit to freeze if necessary, and Inferno Dragon if any tanks appear.

Clash Royale Goblin GangSpell Bait

This deck is on rapid decline, but it’s better to be prepared anyway.

Always Arrow the Goblin Barrels. Use Goblins on the Princess, and Ice Spirit on the Gang. Also be sure to be aware of Inferno Tower or Tesla, as you will definitely need to use your Lightning.

Versus Bait Decks with Tesla, wait until it pops up to Lightning, otherwise you’ll have just wasted Elixir.

Clash Royale Battle RamBridge Spam

That’s right, this deck is making a comeback due to the buff to both Princes!

Versus Spam, you will want to distract any big tanks (if any) with Zappies.

If there are no big tanks, then use Zappies to keep everything in place, then use Royal Ghost+Goblins to kill everything while the Zappies stun.

Use Inferno Dragon if necessary, and counterpush after if you can.

If they have a big tank and they place it in the back to invest, be sure to punish with Giant and your spells accordingly, as you may not get another chance to do so!

Clash Royale Mega KnightMega Knight

Treat it like an area damaging P.E.K.K.A.

Use the Royal Ghost to soak all the MK’s blows, then use Inferno Dragon to kill him.

If it gets reset, then use Ice Spirit to freeze.

Use Goblins or Zappies (for their collective stun, actually benefits quite well versus MK because they delay his jump) if necessary.

So that’s all for this amazing deck guide! Leave a comment if y’all have something to say! In terms of the new series, it will be coming soon!

Until next time, sayonara!

Three Musketeers Ram Deck for 20-Win Challenge

3m ram

Hi again, here with another deck guide, this time it’s how to get 20 wins with 3 musketeers bait + some general advice that most people overlook.

First, the deck and the video of the 20 wins proof.

I’m going to refer to key times throughout the video to illustrate what I’m explaining and help you become a better player!

The Cards

Clash Royale elixir collectorPump:

What I said above covers most of it but I will explain some more things.

You will be pumping up mostly in single Elixir and ONLY in Double Elixir if it’s 3 Musks Vs. 3 Musk OR if you recognize that they can’t punish you during Double Elixir (e.g. against Graveyard decks).

It’s also the main card you will be using to bait out their heavy spells.

Clash Royale Three Musketeers3 Musketeers: There are 2 ways you can play 3 Musks: Offensively or defensively.

When you’ve built up an Elixir lead or baited out their spell you can split 3 Musks at the back and build up a slow push.

This does 2 things:

  1. It maintains control of both lanes because your opponent won’t push into 3 Musks.
  2. It forces your opponent to play defensive.

In some situations, you can play 3 Musketeers defensively if you know their heavy spell isn’t in cycle and build a devastating counterpush once you clean up their troops on your side (refer to 1:03)

Clash Royale Ice GolemIce Golem: Always hold onto Ice Golem vs X-Bow.

There is also 3 ways you can play Ice Golem again 1. Kite opposing troops into opposite lane refer to 5:20 (e.g. vs P.E.K.K.A) 2. Play it in front of Battle Ram as this will make it very difficult to stop the Battle Ram’s charge. Make sure you hold onto Ice Golem + Zap if you recognise the opponent has Minion Horde 3. Play it in front of your Minion Horde/Gang to tank for the opponents pushes (e.g. if opponent goes Hog Rider + Goblin Gang)

Clash Royale ZapZap

Use it mainly to support your pushes against the opponents swarm troops or to reset target onto Miner instead of Musketeer in some situations.

Use defensively if you are pumping to build up an Elixir lead and hold for offence when building up a push

Clash Royale Goblin GangGoblin Gang:

Always hold onto Goblin Gang if

  1. Opponent plays Miner on Pump
  2. Opponent has Goblin Barrel.

It is mainly a defensive tool against your opponents pushes but can be used offensively if you bait out their cheap spells in some situations.

Clash Royale Battle RamBattle Ram: Your main win condition.

In some situations it it appropriate to use Battle Ram to kite troops (e.g. vs a Prince) however it is mainly used to support your Musketeer pushes.

If you’ve built up an Elixir lead, placing an Ice Golem in front of Battle Ram will make it extremely difficult to stop it’s charge.

Clash Royale MinerMiner: Your secondary win condition. again in some situations it is appropriate to play Miner defensively.

However, it is mostly used to

  1. Deal with Elixir Pump.
  2. Snipe princesses
  3. Support your split pushes by sniping medium sized troops (Musketeer, electrowizard, Ice Wizard etc).

In some situations, it is okay to play Miner + Gang/Horde if you know their spell is out of cycle however in most situations, Ram + Gang/Horde is a more deadly push

Clash Royale Minion HordeMinion Horde  The key to this deck that makes 3 Musk bait such a strong deck.

It is also a win condition in some matchup’s if played properly.

Used mainly defensively and offensively in conjuction with Battle Ram when you’ve baited out their big spells, the opponent will have a difficult time stopping your push (refer to 11:50)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UuBNcln2QMw&feature=youtu.be

General Gameplan

The whole premise of the deck is to build up an Elixir advantage with Pump ONLY if you know you are able to defend the Pump AND your Tower.

The main situations you wouldn’t Pump is vs a deck with Giant/Balloon + Miner because you won’t have the Elixir to defend the Pump and your Tower at the same time.

Asides from this, you will Pump up most of the time if you recognize that you can defend the Pump against the opponents deck (Watch at 11:20, notice how I pumped up and made sure both Goblin Gang and Ice Golem was in my hand to defend his Miner and Flying Machine. I recognised what deck he had and made sure I held onto the correct cards to defend my Pump).

Once you build up an Elixir lead and bait out their spells in most situations, there are 3 main pushes you can do.

Battle Ram + Minion Horde/Goblin Gang + Miner

ONLY in some situations: If you bait out a Poison and recognize that the opponent doesn’t have a good answer to Minion Horde, this is a devastating push that will almost always do damage to their Tower AND the Minion Horde/Gang will most likely kill their defending troops so you don’t have to deal with them on your side)

Refer to to 1:05 -> I recognized that the opponent used Log AND was low on Elixir. Therefore my push with Goblin would get a lot of value

Split 3 Musketeers + Battle Ram in lane of single Musketeer + Horde/Gang/Miner

Depending on opponents card cycle

This push is very effective when

  1. The opponent is down 2-3 Elixir and
  2. When you bait out their medium spell (Poison/Fireball/Rocket).

Your push will almost always do damage to the Tower (refer to 7:50)

Battle Ram at back + 3 Musketeers at bridge in one lane

This is push you will do ONLY IF

  1. You bait out their big spell and their cycle is slow
  2. They don’t have a P.E.K.K.A, Mega Knight or Dark Prince It’s a very effective push against Lava Hound, Graveyard Hut and X-Bow Rocket nado decks as they will not have the right cards in cycle to defend the 3 musks in one lane.

Refer to 4:01

There are of course other small pushes you can do (solo Ram, Miner + Gang/Horde etc) but they are very situational and dependent on your ability to recognise the opponents card cycle (spells mainly) and Elixir.

The 3 pushes I listed above are the main main ones you will be using

Common Matchups

Clash Royale P.E.K.K.AP.E.K.K.A Hut Control: The to key to beating this matchup is Minion Horde.

The opponent will usually run Log instead of Zap and even if they still run Zap, it is very difficult for them to deal with Minion Horde.

Always play Ram + Horde in lane OPPOSITE to the Goblin Hut when you’ve baited out their big spell.

If the opponent has Poison in cycle, you can still play Ram + Horde BUT make sure you wait 1-1.5 seconds before playing Minion Horde as the opponent will usually respond with a ground troop that your Minion Horde can cleanup THEN they will have to spend more Elixir poisoning Horde.

From here you can freely Pump up and hold onto Gang for Miner.

Usually you will not split 3 musks in the back unless

  1. You have a very big Elixir advantage
  2. You can get defensive value out of 3 musks and build up a counter push

Clash Royale Lava HoundLavaloon: The key to beating this deck is getting value out of 3 Musketeers or Horde when you’ve baited out their spell.

Opponent plays Hound -> go Ram opposite lane -> wait 1.5 seconds -> then drop Horde.

This will bait out a Fireball allowing you to play 3 Musks in one lane and easily clean up their push.

Alternatively, play Ram + Gang in opposite lane. This will bait out a Zap allowing your Minion Horde to get value instead.

Clash Royale GraveyardGraveyard Hut: Again, the key is getting value out of Minion Horde.

One very effective push against Graveyard Hut decks is Ram at back + 3 Musks in one lane if you bait out their spells.

Most Graveyard decks only have 1 counter to 3 musks

If your opponent goes Ice Golem + Graveyard ALWAYS play Goblin Gang on the Ice Golem and then play your own Ice Golem to defend the Graveyard.

You can also play Horde on the Ice Golem if you don’t have Gang in cycle. Another devastating push is Horde + Ram when you bait out their big spell and you know they have Log instead of Zap

Clash Royale X-BowX-Bow (hardest matchup): Watch from 6:50 to to 10:38.

I play against a top 100 global X-Bow player and still manage to win.

The gameplay explains it far better than I could through words but I’ll mention a few key things. Always save Ice Golem AND play it on opposite lane to X-Bow.

Reason being if they drop Archers or Tesla to defend the X-Bow, not only will your Ice Golem die faster in same lane as X-Bow, you now have to deal with their support cards before you can take out the X-Bow.

Once you’ve distracted the X-Bow with Ice Golem, how you take out the X-Bow is highly dependent on the spells and cards they have in cycle.

  • If Fireball or Log is out of cycle, you can go Miner + Horde/Gang.
  • If they drop Tesla to support X-Bow, push hard on the other lane with Battle Ram.
  • If they have both Fireball and Log in cycle, play Ice Golem opposite lane, wait patiently to build up 7 Elixir then drop Ram + Miner onto X-Bow and support with Zap only if necessary.

The video shows this nicely

Final General Tips for Getting 20 Wins

  • If you are getting tilted, stop and take a break. There is nothing worse then playing while you’re frustrated or emotional. You need to have a perfectly clear mind to hit 20 wins.
  • Don’t keep switching decks. Choose 1 strong meta deck, keep practising with it and learn all the matchups inside out. This is why I was able to hit 20 wins
  • When you’re playing, don’t just consider taking down the Tower. Keep the following 3 things in mind, it’s what separates the good players from the pro players
    • How can I defend as efficiently as possible (Technical skill = Troop timing + troop placement)
    • Have an awareness of the opponents Elixir
    • Be aware of you and your opponents card cycle. This will dictate how you should defend and push

Goodluck everyone in the 20 wins, I hope this guide helps you out.

The Deck

Clash Royale Three MusketeersThree Musketeeers:

These ladies are your stars. Your main attack-stopper, your punish card and whatnot.

I suggest not to use this card as your first move unless they brigdespam you right off the bat.

This is because they can have Fireball and Zap and guess what, you’re at a 3-Elixir disadvantage from the start, not something that you want.

In 2x Elixir though, feel free to use them freely, even if you get Elixir deficit.

The placements of this card depends upon your opponent’s deck. I will talk about the placements in a moment.

Clash Royale Cannon CartCannon Cart: Cannon Cart is what you need in this meta.

Counters P.E.K.K.A, Mega Knight, Battle Ram, Bandit+Dark Prince (with an additional Log), Hog Rider, Royal Ghost and Xbows too.

Don’t play this boy (or toy?) as your opening move too because once you Pump, you’ll have no counters for their push.

It’s also a perfect card to punish, drop it right at the bridge as soon as they drop Lava Hound or Golem at the back.

You can replace it with Battle Ram if you want but you’ll have a bit weaker defense if you do so.

Clash Royale BatsClash Royale Goblin GangBats and Goblin Gang: The perfect Zap-bait duo!

If they have Log, your Bats are gonna eat everything.

Luckily the P.E.K.K.A GobHut meta deck has Log, which means just an Ice Golem and Bats can take out a P.E.K.K.A +Ghost push.

What if they decide to Poison? Well, drop those ladies down.

I always drop down my Bats first to bait out their Zap and then use my Goblin Gang to defend. This way they can’t get that 1-Elixir advantage which they would’ve got if I would’ve played Goblin Gang first.

What if they have Zap and Log? Use you Cannon Cart to defend most of the times and chances are, they’ll go for predictive Log or Zap your Tower. That’s when you drop these guys.

One of the tips that I discovered while playing against a Lava Hound deck is, you’ll always want to bait out their Zap if they are trying to build up a push by going for a Miner+GGang in the other lane.

This way, you can play 3M in the lane they are attacking and even if they Fireball, the Muskies are not gonna die.

Clash Royale ZapZap: For general swarm control.

I recommend not using Log in this deck because you want quick response to their swarms, which the Log can’t provide.

Also synergies well with Ice Golem.

Clash Royale elixir collectorElixir Collector: Obviously, you’ll want this.

Make sure you have either GGang or Cannon Cart before you Pump else you won’t have the counters for their Miner to your Pump.

Ideally, I would Pump if I have 9 Elixir and GGang in my hand.

Don’t Pump in 2x Elixir unless you face against a 3M player who decides to Pump.

Here are some of the ideal placements against various decks:

  1. In front of the King Tower: Against GY and Lava Hound decks. Normally you can Pump up in this location even if you’re unsure about their deck.
  2. Right beside the King Tower: Against Beatdown decks, Siege decks and Miner Poison decks.
  3. At the corners, behind Princess towers: Same as no.2

Clash Royale Ice GolemIce Golem: For kiting and stalling troops.

Just a quick tip, against Hog players with Zap, make sure to always place Ice Golem to soak their Ice Spirit before dropping GGang for their Hog. Even if they Zap, they have to respond to it.

Use it in front of the 1 Musketeer after splitting 3M to make both of your pushes equally threatening.

General Gameplan:

3M deck is an aggressive deck so you’ll want to take out their towers as quick as possible and defend the rest of the time.

In the beginning, Pump up if you are sure you can defend their pushes or catch their Miner.

If you can’t, don’t Pump and wait for their move until you cycle back to Pump and GGang.

If they use heavy decks, go as aggressive as possible to take out their towers early on.

If they have cycle or lighter decks than yours, Pump and try to gain Elixir advantage.

I will talk about certain matchups in the matchup section below.

Here’s a quick tip

Before dropping your 3M, drop your Cannon Cart in the back.

Once it crosses the brigde, drop your 3M in the river (not literally, one tile below the river I guess) such that 1 Musky goes towards the Cannon Cart’s lane.

Most of the time your opponent drops several units pre-emptively to counter your Cannon Cart and the muskies can snipe them away.

Also useful when your opponent has Fireball, Poison or Rocket in their deck.

What if they have absolute counter deck such as P.E.K.K.A Miner Poison?

You have two options, either go really aggressive before 2x Elixir or survive till 2x Elixir and use your Cannon Cart, Bats, GGang and Miner to chip down their towers while using 3M for defense.

Against such decks, baiting out their Zap and/or Log is crucial because just a Gang+Miner push can take out a Tower.

Matchups

Clash Royale Hog RiderHog Rider: They sneak a lot so you gotta be ready for that.

If they go for Ice Golem+Hog push, thinking you’ll go for Bats or GGang, prove them wrong and go for 3M instead. In that case, if they Fireball+Zap your 3M, you’re at an Elixir advantage.

Since most of the Hog Decks are cycle decks, try to gain Elixir advantage first. And they overload them with double lane pushes later on.

Never let them take out your Tower under any circumstances.

Clash Royale Lava HoundLava Hound: As I said, bait out their Zap first and defend their push with your 3M.

Place your 3M at the back of your Tower if you know they have Fireball in hand. Else, place them in front of the King’s Tower.

Your push will be Cannon Cart+Bats as soon as they drop Lava Hound. Remember to go as hard as you can after they drop their Lava at the back because that’s only when you can deal damage.

Clash Royale GolemGolem: Same as Lava Hound decks.

If they have Poison and they drop their Golem at the back, split your one musky towards the Golem side and the two muskies towards the other lane.

Defend their push and next time they go for Golem at the back, punish them hard with CC+Bats/GGang+Miner.

Clash Royale Three Musketeers3M decks: It’s all about Elixir advantage against 3M decks.

Try to protect your Muskies at any cost.

Also if you’re able to Miner their pumps, you’re at a good position.

Don’t necessarily play your ladder deck unless it also shines in tournament play.

A lot of people run certain decks for ladder with cards that might not work well with the Tournament Cap.

This is because some cards give the significant change once leveled up (for example, Royal Giant and Elite Barbarians)

At Tourney Cap, it is essential to either stick to a deck that you have a lot of success with at tourney cap or a proven meta deck that you feel comfortable to play with.

Practice with the deck first and with different match-ups

Lets say you are mainly a ladder player with little Challenge experience. Rather than smacking together a deck that people have success with and playing poorly, practice with clanmates or friends via friendly battles.

Play against different decks and see how you fare vs them.

You might want to practice against hard counters and tough match-ups in general due to the rock paper scissors nature of the meta.

Get as many games under your belt as possible with the deck you plan on running.

Unlike Grand Challenge, where it costs 100 gems to enter, this gives you 3 free entries. To maximize the value, do the best in your free tries.

However, since the next entries cost only 10 Gems each, play until you get 20 wins!

Do not use the deck which has many hard-counters

Golem decks have been dominating for a while now throughout so many metas.

However it does have quite a lot of weaknesses: Executioner Tornado being one, 3 Musketeers, (arguably) Bridge Spam, P.E.K.K.A Etc.

Because of this, despite Golem being solid on the ladder, in an all-or-nothing situation like this, where you will ideally want to get 20 wins on the first try, it’s best not risk it by running a deck which has so many hard matchups.

Run an anti-meta deck!

The meta deck right now, everyone knows, is the P.E.K.K.A Zappies Hut (Fireball Bait) deck.

Right now, there are so many decks out there can counter this deck, including the 2 below.

Lavaloon and Loon Cycle work too If you are a fan! See a lot more in the last section below.

The X-Bow 2.9 deck is better against the meta P.E.K.K.A Zappies Hut deck. You can easily outcycle their only counter to X-Bow, P.E.K.K.A, and you don’t have to deal with massive counter pushes. Simply push on the other lane because you don’t want to deal with Poisons. Keep in my the Flying Machine’s rotation.

The previous tips have all been about adapting to the meta.

But if you are someone who has experience with Challenges and has an above average level of understanding to the game, you can have a crack at making your own deck!

Remember, meta decks came from someone somewhere. Who knows the next meta deck might be a deck made to counter this meta?

When creating a deck, keep in mind what popular decks this meta has and include counter cards.

Play ASAP!

Now unlike regular Challenges, this challenge has 3 free entries and also its cost is low (10 Gems).

At the beginning, majority of the player pool will be retrying this challenge.

After the first days, casual players will will stop playing the challenge, which will reduce the amount of the player pool.

The better players will be the ones who ended up dedicated and retry the challenge until they get 20 wins.

In order to have a high chance, you will want to play rather early into the challenge. I would say within the first 2 days or so.

Also, don’t play on Sunday when you can meet lots of good players. It’s way too intense.

Don’t worry about changing your deck

Now this challenge could have 23+ games, that means you are bound to notice trends.

In the first few matches, maybe the decks you facing will be diverse because of player poll. Thus, using meta deck for the first matches is not a bad idea at all. It helps you destroy inexperienced players easily.

However, as you are getting more wins, you will start facing meta decks and the counters. This is when you want to change your deck.

What If you run a deck like X-Bow and people only seem to run beatdown? Try maybe control with P.E.K.K.A or Inferno Tower with work out for an example.

If you use the Meta P.E.K.K.A Miner Zappies deck and got a mirror matchup, follow these tips

Shared by PlatypusPlatoon

Always let them play P.E.K.K.A first

Never play yours first. You want their P.E.K.K.A to walk to your side, where your tower will assist in the fight, and have your P.E.K.K.A come out on top, giving you counter-push potential.

When you have matching Goblin Huts, watch out for their Flying Machine

They’ll usually put it in the middle to snipe your Hut. Quickly place your own Flying Machine to snipe theirs safely, so that yours comes out alive.

Then, after the skirmish, your Flying Machine can peck away at their Hut unhindered.

Miner is surprisingly underrated on defense

I know some pros see it as “bad form” to need to defend with a Miner, but he’s the perfect defender against Royal Ghost, as he’ll survive with some health, giving you a small counter-push.

So don’t feel guilty about needing to use Miner on defense, especially in the early game.

Try to always get added value with your Poison.

Some people love to Poison just the Goblin Hut and Tower, but I rarely do that unless my cycle is awkward.

Instead, I might send my Miner at the inside corner of their tower (in between the Hut and the Tower, but closer to the Tower), then immediately Poison the Hut and Tower.

This is because I know they’ll place defensive units to defend my Miner, and my Poison will catch that, too.

Conversely, don’t give your opponent good Poison value.

Don’t bunch up all of your units together.

When they do inevitably Poison, only then, feel free to spam your units – especially Zappies and Flying Machine – all in the same lane.

A Royal Ghost backed by Zappies and Flying Machine is a surprisingly scary push when your opponent can’t Poison it all.

Above all, be patient. Against good players, the games will run long into overtime – it’s not uncommon for double elixir to start, with only 300 damage to each side total.

Avoid overcommitting on big offensive pushes, as that’s the key mistake most players make in overtime – they feel the need to “go for it”, but their opponent is still at full elixir, and can easily defend your push.

Instead, use your half-alive troops after defending, and then supplement them with a batch of fresh dropped troops, for a huge counter-push that’s much harder to defend.
