Clash Royale 2017: A Look Back

January 1, 2017

2017 starts

Meta could be described in two words: Elite Barbarians. They were just buffed in a crazy way and turned into a way too OP card.

Some other meta cards were: Graveyard, Mega Minion, Giant.

January 13, 2017

Clan Chest has been updated.

Now, it starts every Monday, lasts 3 days, and needs 1600 Crowns to complete.

January 23, 2017

January Balance update.

Elite Barbarians, Mega Minion, and Ice Golem have received an obvious nerf, while Electro Wizard received a huge buff.

Probably the biggest shock was the Zap nerf, making it no longer one-hit the Goblins.

Four new cards were released: Goblin Gang, Battle Ram, Dart Goblin, and Executioner.

Clash Royale Goblin GangClash Royale Battle RamClash Royale Dart GoblinClash Royale Executioner

The fourth one quickly turned into one of the most OP cards and shifted into meta in no time. Goblin Gang found their place on many decks, but the rest had really small use rate.

The most dominating decks at the time were: Giant Prince, Hog Bait, and Golem beatdown.

February 13, 2017

February Balance Update.

It was inevitable that Executioner is gonna see some nerfs. That was actually a good nerf because it didn’t make him dead, but not OP. Combinations like Executioner + Tornado were still great.

Except for this, almost all the updates were buffs.

The biggest ones were PEKKA (Deploy Time decreased from 3s to 1s), Poison (Duration decreased from 10s to 8s, damage increased by 24%), and Skeletons (Skeleton count increased from 3 to 4).

Other changes that didn’t change much were: Baby Dragon, Witch, Dark Prince and Skeleton Army.

Royal Giant and The Log were considered as one of the most OP cards in the game. Combinations like RG Furnace were everywhere, and The Log was just so good at the 2 Elixir cost.

This meta was sad… Log bait was slowly conceived…

March 13, 2017

Huge March Update!

First of all, Balance Update.

The biggest ones were Executioner (Axe hit radius increased by 10%),  Lumberjack (Rage Duration + 1.5s (+0.5s/level)), and Arrows (Now travel 33% faster). Nothing really game-changing.

Four new cards were introduced: Bandit, Heal, Bats and Night Witch.

Clash Royale BanditClash Royale Night WitchClash Royale HealClash Royale Bats

Bandit Draft Challenge was already announced on March 17, 2017. Down the road, Night Witch was absolutely overpowered, Heal was decent on only one deck (Dirty 3M Heal…), Bandit was viable, but not too good, and Bats were terrible.

legendary arenaNew Arena was introduced, Legendary Arena, which became Arena 11. Unlocks at 3800 trophies.

The old Legendary Arena turned into Hog Mountain and stayed as an Arena 10.

Clan Battles aka the first version of 2v2 was introduced.

Clan Battles can be played only with your clanmates. Play Clan Battles to complete Clan Battle Chest.

League System was introduced.

challenger Ichallenger IIchallenger IIIMaster IMaster IIMaster IIIChampionGrand ChampionUltimate Champion

Leagues start at 4000 Trophies. After reaching that, you will enter Challenger 1. Every next league starts after reaching 300 Trophies more. Challenger 2 – 4300. Challenger 3 – 4600 etc. League players could get the Draft Chest after each season.

Big update, ya?

April 1, 2017

Retro Royale!

Really cool and easy 6-win Challenge, where you can use only the cards, which were in the game during Global Launch. Great idea!

retro royale clash royale

April 23, 2017

April Balance Update.

The cancerous combo, Royal Giant, and Elite Barbarians are getting a desired nerf. Royal Giant’s deploy time increased from 1s to 2s, and Elite Barbarians’ had their HP reduced by 4, and Initial attack speed reduced by 0.1s.

Some other significant changes were: Balloon’s death damage delay decreased from 1s to 3s and  Executioner’s damage increased by 6%. Nothing more happened… :p

April 28, 2017

Clash Royale HealHeal spell was introduced via Heal Draft challenge.

Did you make 12 wins on it?

Clash Royale GraveyardAt this moment, meta could be described in two words: Graveyard and PEKKA. If people would only know these two can be paired for a deadly combo...

May 11, 2017

One of the biggest moments in Clash Royale history. Supercell released an announcement about The Crown Championship.

Players all around the world could register and fight for the $1.000.000 in total!

That was also the first time ever when players could get more than 12 wins on the challenge. The reward for reaching 20 wins was 250.000 Gems in total, and also Legendary Chest among others.

May 26, 2017

Clash Royale Night WitchNight Witch has been introduced via Night Witch Draft Challenge.

Back then, she was totally OP and everyone who unlocked her had like guaranteed 500 Trophies boost for free.

June 13, 2017

Big June update!

First of all, balance changes.

Night Witch has received an obvious nerf, but it didn’t really change her, she was still an outstanding card. Skeletons have been killed again (Skeleton count decreased from 4 to 3), Bandit’s dash now was initiating faster and spells such as Heal, Poison, and Tornado can stack up.

2 extra deck slots at level 8!

So when you reach lvl 8, your deck slots‘ count increases from 3 to 5. Such quality of life improvement! Am I the only one who actually can’t imagine playing without 5 slots?

New friend list system. Now friends can be invited via LINE or by sending them friend’s request via Messenger, Skype, Discord… whatever floats your boat!

Four new cards were announced: Meta Knight, Cannon Cart, Flying Machine and Skeleton Barrel.

Clash Royale Mega KnightClash Royale Cannon CartClash Royale Flying MachineClash Royale Skeleton Balloon

At this moment, we can say that Mega Knight and Skeleton Barrel took a solid place in meta, what we can’t say about the rest (Cannon Cart actually had its great moment in Golem and Graveyard decks, but it wasn’t too permanent)

July 3, 2017

Ya boi Golem FTW aka Radius, now known as Trainer Lay / Radius, wrote his first guide about Heavy Beatdown. Just kidding :p

Bridge Spam was slowly changing the game…

July 20, 2017

2v2 Double Elixir Draft challenge has been introduced. I went 9-0 on it, how about you?

July 27, 2017

Clash Royale Cannon CartCannon Cart has been introduced via Cannon Cart 2v2 Draft Challenge. 2v2 was really popular back then, wasn’t it

Bridge Spam is completely dominating the game right now.

Everyone was waiting for its nerf, and we finally got what we’re waiting for on…

August 11, 2017

August Balance Update.

Bridge Spam received a big hit, nerfing cards like Battle Ram, and Night Witch.

Both siege weapons received a pretty big buff (Deploy time to 3.5sec from 4sec) Supercell revived some cards such as Mini PEKKA, and Ice Wizard.

In my opinion, it was really good balance update, pretty much no mistakes.

August 31, 2017

Ramp Up mode shared for players for the first time ever via 9-wins’ Ramp Up Challenge!

September 8, 2017

Clash Royale Mega Knight2v2 Mega Knight Draft Challenge.

But don’t judge a book by its cover! There’s not guaranteed Mega Knight after reaching 9 wins!

The final reward was just a Legendary Chest. You couldn’t imagine how disappointed I was after opening the Legendary Chest and getting… Princess.

September 22, 2017

Clash Royale Flying MachineFlying Machine Draft Challenge.

She (or he, I’m not sure) didn’t change really the game.

October 8, 2017

Huge October update!

Touchdown mode was introduced.

In big short, do everything you can to get a troop cross the touchdown line at the end of the Arena.

Mirror Challenge – Play vs the same deck and same rotation. Every deck contains the Mirror card, which is the game-changing factor. There are no excuses. The more skilled player wins.

Quests – One of the most long-suffering things since several months. I still have a feeling Quests are kinda a disappointment…

New shop – Now, instead of buying cards per heads, we have a “daily deals” what means we cannot buy 1 card, you gotta buy for example an x20 pocket. But why? The old shop was better. The only advantage of this change is a free gift.

#BringBackOldShop (Let’s do it in the comment section below!)

Balance Update. The biggest one was Tesla’s huge 30% buff and Lightning’s -0,5 Radius change. Spear Goblins’ hit speed has been decreased from 1,3s to 1,1s, what, to be honest, didn’t really buffed them as a 2 Elixir card, but Goblin Hut became really viable in control/beatdown decks! Sparky also got buffed, but she still doesn’t see much love.

October 26, 2017

King’s Cup Challenge 2!

That was a really fun to play challenge, where you could get one of the 8 decks created by teams made of one youtuber and one pro! The entire challenge was arranged into 3 parts:

  1. Practice – Free entry, no losing, ends after you get 10 crowns. After the practice is done, you unlock the next thing which is…
  2. Challenge – Free entry, 6 wins and you can move to the next stage. The final reward was 2000 Gold. After 3 losses, the challenge ends and you start again. Each entry costs 10 Gems. The final stage was…
  3. Elite Challenge – 1 free entry, each entry costs 100 Gems. 9 wins and you get your reward, which was Legendary Chest (!) Obviously after 3 losses, you’re out.

king cup challenge

October 30, 2017

Halloween Draft challenge.

Not really a reward-based challenge, just to put a Clash Royale community in the Halloween mood! People could draft & unlock Skeleton Barrel at 9 wins, although it wasn’t even tagged as “Released in x days.

What’s funny the reward was all Skeleton-based. Skeleton Army, Bomber, Witch, Giant Skeleton etc..

November 9, 2017

Double Elixir Challenge

Self-explanatory name, ya? Only cool thing was that Towers looked like Elixir Collectors.

November 28, 2017

You know what’s the best thing to wake up the game after 20 days without a fresh challenge?

20 wins’ Crown Championships challenge! Rules didn’t really change since the first one 20 wins challenge (See May 11, 2017)

December 8, 2017

Sudden Death Challenge

Sudden Death Challenge aka the most fun challenge ever in Clash Royale

As you may guess from the title, first player to get 1 crown wins. Hilarious decks like LumberLoon Freeze Clone had their minutes of glory.

What was your fastest match? Mine was 21 seconds tho. I used Giant Graveyard Poison.

December 11, 2017

December update!

electro valleyNew Arena – Electro Valley.

It became Arena 11,  and Legendary Arena became Arena 12. It unlocks at 3400 Trophies. It is visually one of the best Arenas in my opinion.

Two new cards: Hunter and Zappies!

Clash Royale HunterClash Royale Flying Zappies

Three new chests:

  • Lightning Chest: Replace card stacks of your choice with up to 5 Strikes
  • Fortune Chest: Get a glimpse of the future and see what your chest might contain!
  • King’s Chest / Legendary King’s Chest: Huge chests with only Rare, Epic and Legendary Cards (Legendary is guaranteed!). Remember this is like Draft Chest, you pick one of 2 cards.

Gold Rush and Gem Rush events were introduced. Nice way to make people play ladder more often.

Balance update

Biggest one was: -6% Damage for all stab Goblins, Guards’ DMG +5%, HP +5% and decreased hit speed, Elixir Collector’s HP nerfed by 13% and all damage spells’ damage decreased by 5% (Why Supercell, why?) Rest of these didn’t really change much.

December 18, 2017

Triple Elixir Challenge.

Max reward after 9 wins – 10 000 Gold.

December 22, 2017

Royal Ghost Mirror Challenge.

Clash Royale Royal GhostEveryone who managed to unlock him is really good. He’s incredibly good card, must-nerf.

Deja vu? Yes, I’m looking at you, Night Witch!

Golem Miner Poison – Hybrid Horrors #4

Using Golem and Miner as Win Conditions

Hey everybody! Supermarine here with the 4th addition to Hybrid Horrors!

This deck was made and tested by Huncho Houndini to great effect, and if you didn’t read the title, the deck used was a Golem Miner Poison deck! So let’s get into it!

Golem Miner Deck

Clash Royale GolemGolem

This is the highest-health tank in the game, yet no one would even think of incorporating him into Miner Poison! Sure, P.E.K.K.A and MK are good tanks to use, but Golem is great too! He has Death Damage, which can help to crumble (pun intended) any counterpush! He even splits into two Golemites that are being protected by the Miner, meaning they deal really good damage! Overall, he is very good in a Miner Poison in general, let alone this deck!

Clash Royale Night WitchNight Witch

You could consider her the glue that binds the win conditions together.

As she possesses an extremely good synergy with Golem and Miner alike, you can use her in multiple ways.

What ways can you use her exactly? Read the General Gameplay to find out!

Her Bats can do work as well, capable of distracting tank killers and resetting Infernos.

Clash Royale MinerMiner

Your main offensive card and win condition.

He is how you are going to get a large amount of damage done in Single Elixir.

He also is your main Pump attacker, and is great at getting those hard-to-reach troops that can pose problems.

Most importantly, though, he is Poison’s best friend!

Clash Royale PoisonPoison

Your moderate spell and Miner’s best buddy.

It can be used for two main things: Killing glass cannons (and Pumps) along with swarm clear.

Clash Royale Baby DragonBaby Dragon

He is your main splash attacker and Golem support.

He can also be used in a more unorthodox way to tank for or support the Miner and Night Witch if you decide to push with the two, and he is relatively cheap for a durable splash troop!

He absolutely destroys old, long-used cards such as Minion Horde and even Wizard if paired with Poison, ad well as newcomers such as Bats and Zappies with ease.

Overall, he will always be a staple in Golem decks!

Clash Royale Mega MinionMega Minion

This guy is your tank killer along with Night Witch.

He flies, so he cannot be targeted by troops such as Elite Barbarians or Zappies, making his job easier.

He also excels against Baby Dragon, Wizard, and also Executioner with his high damage per hit.

However, he lacks DPS, so pair him with Zap wherever necessary.

Clash Royale ZapZap

Pretty self-explanatory.

It kill swarms, resets Infernos, and makes troops retarget as well.

Clash Royale TornadoTornado

With the nerf to the Pump, Tornado works extremely well for a couple of reasons: It pairs well with Golem, pairs well with Baby Dragon, and can give you lots of value, just like Pump can.

You can also use it for King Activations!

General Gameplay

3:00-1:00

At this point, Miner pushes are advised, especially ones with Night Witch.

Speaking of her, she can be used in multiple ways in this deck: Golem support, a threat behind Miner, and as a defensive counterpush troop with her Bats.

Use your Night Witch and Tornado to get lots of value on defense, then punish the enemy in offense.

1:00-End

Now is when Golem comes out.

Use Night Witch and Baby Dragon in your pushes for the best possible results.

If you can, try to get in a Miner Poison push while the opponent is focused on the Golem.

Tornado can be used to give defensive value or pull troops into the Death Damage of the Golem/Golemites (RIP Minions).

Matchups

Clash Royale GiantGiant

Night Witch and Mega Minion work really well versus Giant. Use the Baby Dragon if necessary to distract support. Also, you can use Tornado with the Baby Dragon to really get you value!

Golem: Treat him as a higher health Giant. Do keep in mind that Night Witch, Tornado, and Baby Dragon work very well against threats that may be behind Golem. You can also try to Tornado the Golem to the King Tower.

Clash Royale P.E.K.K.AP.E.K.K.A

Again, Baby Dragon+Tornado is key versus her support.

Mega Minion must be used to kill P.E.K.K.A herself (as Night Witch will die immediately).

Clash Royale Lava HoundLava Hound

Against the tank, use the Tornado to move it to the King Tower.

Then use Mega Minion or Night Witch on support. As an alternative versus LavaLoon, use the Tornado to pull troops in to the Baby Dragon’s fire.

Place Mega Minion to the side of the Hound so it attacks the Balloon.

Clash Royale Royal GiantRoyal Giant

Counterpushing is key versus RG.

Use Night Witch to kill him, then use Miner and Poison to counterpush.

If the Elite Retards show up, then use the Mega Minion (or Tornado them to the King Tower).

Clash Royale Hog RiderHog Rider

TORNADO!

If you want to (although, it’s not recommended), use the Night Witch and counterpush afterward.

Clash Royale Three Musketeers3M

Tornado+Poison is a great method of dispatching these beautiful Tower destroyers.

If used on defense, use Poison on offense.

Clash Royale GraveyardGraveyard

Night Witch and Poison work great against Graveyard.

Against tanks, use Mega Minion or Night Witch (you must have Poisoned the Graveyard if you used Night Witch).

Clash Royale X-BowSiege

Night Witch, Poison and Miner work great against Siege structures.

However, in 2x Elixir, you can use Golem.

Just be wary of how fast they cycle to the win condition, because if you cannot keep up, you’re in big time trouble!

Clash Royale MinerMiner Poison

Night Witch. Easy as that.

If in a Tornadoable position, use it to move the Miner to the King Tower.

Clash Royale Goblin GangSpell Bait

The defense against Spell Bait in this deck is a little lacking, so be careful.

Against Princess, use MM or Tornado. Versus Barrel, use Zap.

Goblin Gang, Night Witch. Knight, lure to the King with Tornado.

If they Rocket cycle and you can’t punish them for it, it will be extremely hard to come back from such a deficit, so do be sure to punish every Rocket launched!

Clash Royale Mega KnightMega Knight

Use Night Witch to lure him to the center, then Tornado him to the King.

Use MM if necessary.

Clash Royale Royal GhostRoyal Ghost

This guy is a very annoying card to deal with.

The easiest way to defeat him is to Tornado him to the King Tower, but you can also use Night Witch and counterpush afterward!

When he is invisible, his level icon and his silhouette give away his location, so don’t worry!

So that’s all for this deck guide! Leave a comment if you guys enjoyed! Bye (for now)!

Remastered Mega Looner

162

Hey guys! The Ice Lord with my 2nd guide!

Once I got to arena 10, I didn’t know what deck to use, but then I saw a Mega-Hog deck and used that to get to arena 11 (Electro Valley, not Legendary Arena). Once I got there, I faced a lot of hard matchups, so I had to find a better deck. And I found this deck, and used it to get to Arena 12!

I was a bit skeptical, but quickly found out this deck dominates after seeing Tag’s video on it.

Lastly, it was totally coincidental that the deck was Mega Looner, but its still amazing! With that, lets get into the guide!

sparky heal analysis

Mega Looner

Clash Royale Mega KnightMega Knight – Obviously need him!

He provides enormous value, smacking Fireballies, (Exe, Witch, Wizard, Hunter, Ewiz, Night Witch, Ice Wiz, etc.) Ebarbs, and ground swarms.

Amazing to counter push with, and you can split push the other lane with a Gang to guarantee some damage.

With Ghost becoming more popular, he is one more counter for it. (I know, 7 for 3, but there is counter push opportunity with support units.)

Clash Royale Goblin GangGoblin Gang – provides value for only 3 Elixir!

This card was why I was skeptical, but, these destroy.

If you’re facing off against a opponent who is defending all you’re troops, you can split these in the back, with 1 Spear and 1 Stab going to the non defended Tower, and slowly chip at the other lane. (I have beaten numerous people with this strategy.)

These guys can also shut down Bandits, Lumberjacks, Battle Rams, and other quick cards.

Clash Royale MinerMiner – Since you only have a mini spell, he is your main win condition.

What differs this deck from classic Miner Poison decks, is obviously, there is no Poison.

This deck was made like that, so you use my favorite combo in the whole game, Miner + Bats.

Bats have a insane DPS, so this does massive amounts of damage.

Even if they defend, this deck has a relatively fast cycle, of 10. (not including Miner or Bats, I’m including Ice Spirit, Zap, Gang, ewiz) considering most 3-4 average Elixir cost decks are 8-10, this is fine.

Anyways, you can also pair him up with a Gang, or any troops from a defense, like Ewiz, or Gang, in that regard.

Clash Royale Ice SpiritIce Spirit – Freezes everything, splashes troops, and makes cute running noises! All for just 1 elxir!

This guy can be paired with a damaged MK to provide a pretty good counter push.

He can be paired with split Gang for chip damage, he can be cycled at the bridge, he can do a lot of stuff.

You can almost stop a naked Hog with him and Bats,  you can with him and a Gang.

He can stop a Bandit if you put him on the Bandit, he can kite a P.E.K.K.A, and more.

Ice Spirit + Ewiz/Zap = Minions.

Clash Royale Electro WizardElectro Wizard –  ZZZZZZZZZZZZZAAAAAAAAAAPPPPPP!

He can take out most Fireballies (mentioned above). He can defend and counterattack, can also kill most swarms, including hordes.

If the opponent out cycles your Zap and plays a Barrel, Ewiz the left two, (or was it the right two?) whichever two your Tower targets last. (assuming they split the Barrel)

If I know my opponent has Giant, MK, RG, or Golem, I preemptively play him in the back.

Clash Royale BatsBats – Also, with incredible value!

These things do everything!

Push, defend, and simply look awesome!

These can take out Ram, ljack, and Hog if paired with a Ice Spirit, and dish out so much damage.

Along with Fireballies, Dragons, Flying Machine, and Mega Minon. Since you have Gang, you can play them at the bridge for bait, then rush the other side with Miner + Bats.

Also, they can take out Hound, Balloon, and pretty much every air card besides Baby Dragon, and Horde.

Clash Royale ZapZap – Stuns Hog, kills Gang, (if your 1 lvl above, it kills all, but if your equal, it only kills the Spear Goblins) and does work!

If your opponent uses a Inferno Tower/ Dragon for your MK, you can stun it to get massive damage. I prefer this over Arrows/ Log, because Arrows, 1 take to long to deploy, and 2 is 3 instead of 2. Log does take care of ground swarms, but with Balloon, Miner and MK weak to air, Zap + Ice Spirit is better.

Clash Royale BalloonClash Royale Inferno DragonClash Royale PoisonBalloon, Inferno Dragon, or Poison  – The flex spot of you’re deck!

Balloon is good if you need the extra offence, being paired up with a Miner or split pushing makes him amazing. A really good 2nd win condition if you have to save your Miner for their Pump/ Princess.

Poison is what I like to use the most. It completely shuts down Graveyard, and can lend a hand in big Golem pushes, this decks other weakness. Since this deck has Zap, and if the can catch your miners, this is good for direct damage.

Inferno Dragon is if you’re facing Golem/Mega P.E.K.K.A. Melts through these, and shockingly, not many Golem deck run ewiz, so your safe. This variant also makes the deck more defensive, as you can soak up hits with the ID.

General Gameplan

3:00 – 1:00

Right now its 1x elxir, so this is where you have the advantage over most of the more heavy decks.

You want to use Miner Bats, Miner Gang if they drop a Log, and maybe one MK for their Ebarbs.

You want to rely on the power of your defensive troops, such as Ewiz, Gang, and Bats.

Even if you have a half health Ewiz, or 3 Bats, send in a Miner to tank, the will either over defend or soak up the damage, so its a good way to get in damage.

1:00 – OT

This is the time when you go all in, defending their pushes with MK then going for the monster counter push.

Feel free to send in Miner Poison, unless they have GY.

If you are in OT, and you think you cannot tie, 5 times out of 6, you can go for the tie.

As I mentioned before, the deck is super defensive, using cards like Ewiz, Gang, and Bats which cost less but have more value.

Matchups

Clash Royale Royal GhostNew Meta Royal Ghost Deck

You know this deck. You hate this deck. You think the Royal Ghost should be known as the RG, not the Royal Giant.

But still, it is a deck that I’ve been seeing a lot of it on ladder, and even more in challenges.

This deck does fairly well against the Royal Ghost one, as you have Gang and Bats for the Miner, Ewiz for the Ghost, Poison for there Hut, and Zap for there Inferno drag.

Unless they have a huge Elixir lead, you can pretty much overwhelm them with MK, or play for the tie.

Clash Royale GiantBeatdown

Your hardest matchup. (unless your running Inferno drag)

You do have both Miner and Poison for there Pump, MK with E-wiz has a lot of Tank killing ability, you do have a lot of options to punish.

The only problem vs Beatdown is if they can form a 20 Elixir push behind a Golem, you are dead.

Clash Royale GraveyardGraveyard

Straight off the bat, if your running Poison, you have either won or it was a tie.

Usual GY users send in a Poison as well, which, if your not running Poison, completely denys Bats, Gang, or ewiz, and if they have your Tower locked on to something else, there is little you can do to stop them.

Clash Royale Lava HoundLavaloon

Even if this deck lacks a building, air gets shut down. Ice Spirit + Gang or ewiz stops Balloon, or just Bats.

Lava Hound isn’t really a problem, as its tiny damage output, its the Minons/Mega Minon that follows. Ewiz does a great job at stopping both of these.

Clash Royale Hog RiderControl

Since you are pretty much just counter pushing each other, the game could go either way.

Usually you have the advantage, because not many control decks have P.E.K.K.A, and with Bats behind your MK, a Knight doesn’t do much.

Use the MK to stop any big pushes, or Ewiz, Gang or Bats for the small ones.

On that note, that is the guide! I hope you guys enjoyed!

Have fun with the deck!

See you in the arena!

Dart Goblin Guide by PeakCell

Clash Royale Dart GoblinWho’s Dart Goblin?

The Dart Goblin is a ranged attacker who deals low damages, but has a nice DPS anyway because he shoots so fast he could cover you with his chewing gums before you even notice his presence.

Why do I love Dart Goblin?

The Dart Goblin is really a lovable card!

I love him because he can either be useless if you don’t know how to use him well, or a game changer if you master him and play him well.

It’s just a matter of skill. And in my opinion Clash Royale should be based on players‘ skill.

This card is all about that and could destroy your opponents by itself, but could also be a lot of wasted elixer.

All is up to you! But also a little to me, since I’ll explain to you how to play him, and what are his synergies.

What’s the problem with this card?

You probably read this guide because you have a hard time placing the Dart Goblin into your deck, or making a deck with him work.

That’s understable buddy!

I know how this card is hard to understand.

His problem is that it’s kinda hard to find great cards to match him with and to ensure he does a great job. But don’t be sad, now I’m here to help ya.

Choose his allies wisely.

The problem of the Dart Goblin is that he does not synergizes with cards, but with temporization.

‘Heh, does it make sense now? If it does not, let me explain!

The Dart Goblin can easily be compared to the Musketeer since they have the same roles. Let me explain the synergy difference there!

The Musketeer attacks every 1.1 second, while the Dart Goblin attacks every 0.65s.

It means that if you prevent the Musketeers from dying during 1 second after her attack, she’ll actually have attacked only once, while the Dart Goblin, if kept alive 1s after his attack, already attacked twice.

Fun fact: The Dart Goblin dealt more DPS than the Musketeer.

It means that a continuous attacker, like the Dart Goblin will be more efficient if you can protect it!

With a Musketeer (or a Mini P.E.K.K.A for example) you can’t be sure your card will deal optimized damages, even if you protect it. With a continuous attacker, your temporization IS rewarded overtime ! It changes things because your tempo cards will have an impact as long as your card does not die instantly.

Cards that synergize with the Dart Goblin

So, based on this concept, the Dart Goblin will synergize with basically the same things as an X-Bow.

Yes. Well, most of them, I mean, because he won’t synergize with the Bowler tho.

Let’s make a list of the best synergies available for the Dart Goblin!

Clash Royale Hog RiderHog Ridah!

He helps the Hog by destroying the buildings while staying pretty safe if your opponent doesn’t have a Log, Arrows etc.

If your opponent uses the tRrnado, chances are that they’ll let the Dart Goblin attack the tower freely.

Also, the Hog cycle archetypes synergizes with the Dart Goblin playstyle a lot, because the Dart Goblin is potentially useless if you don’t cycle him.

Clash Royale MinerMiner

Miner deck archetypes synergizes well with the Dart Goblin for the same reason: Cycle and fast playstyle.

Clash Royale KnightLow-Cost Tanky shields

Knight and Ice Golem are great synergies because they are low cost (you can cycle the Dart Goblin faster) and can protect him !

Clash Royale Ice SpiritIce Spirit

It damages units while giving the Dart Goblin enough time to attack 2 to 3 more times (1.5 second freeze is enormous).

Plus if the Ice Spirit is played far away from the enemy to freeze, it can tank an attack, letting the Dart Goblin attack 3 times more instead of 2)

Clash Royale The LogThe Log: The Log does not only damage ennemies, it also pushes them.

Damages of the Log + damages from the Dart Goblin + many Dart Goblin attacks during the log pushing + attacks during the time the ennemy troop is coming to your Dart Goblin = Massive damages.

Clash Royale FreezeFreeze

Well you shouldn’t Freeze just for the Dart Goblin, but he does quite some damages during the Freeze spell time.

You’d definitely like to freeze an ennemy push when your Dart Goblin is on the field !

Clash Royale TornadoTornado

It does quite some damages, and has an insane temporization potential, so it clearly is a great synergy !

Clash Royale Goblin GangSwarms

They also have a temporizing role because of the number of units they got, so they also have a great synergy with him.

But they’ll also take your opponent’s spells for your Dart Goblin.

Clash Royale Flying ZappiesZappies

They are a temporizing card which also has 3 units and some HPs, so of course they are a great card to synergize with him.

Clash Royale Electro WizardElectro Wizard

Same thing!

He buys a lot of time for your Dart Goblin to act, and also does some damages !

Clash Royale Ice WizardIce Wizard

His slow is huge and now even his damages are pretty good, of course it is a nice synergy too!

Clash Royale Dark PrinceDark Prince

The Dark Prince has nice AoE damages, tanking, and single-target damages.

Being helped by the Dart Goblin, he can be a threat!

He’s also pretty fast which is why he’ll synergize better than a Valkyrie with the Dart Goblin.

Clash Royale LumberjackRage/Lumberjack

A faster-attacking Dart Goblin is the key to a fun game. It is, in most cases, not that viable tho.

How to play the Dart Goblin ?

The Dart Goblin is the Middle Earth King.

So, we said, the Darth Goblin is a killing machine when you make the full potential out of his range. Also he’s got some pretty cool featuring gameplays you may want to use.

It includes:

Having the Dart Goblin behind a meatshield

(Just make sure he doesn’t eat it) like the Giant.

The Dart Goblin will be hard to kill without waiting for him to cross the river (= time for your win condition/meatshield or damages to the opponent’s defenses against it) or launching a spell against him (= elixir expenses and your opponent lost his joker so it will be harder to kill your king scientifically).

He is a counterattack card

Of course, if you use him in a push, you’d better use him as a counter attack card since he’s quite fragile.

He can destroy ennemy centered building

while being on your side of the map. So if your opponent uses a Log for example, it will only login your Dart Goblin. It doesn’t seem like it but it is kind of useful to know, since it’s a pretty good advantage.

He really shines when he is placed in the center of the map

and your opponent is trying to split push against you.

He is an insane defensive card against bridge spam decks and also in 2v2 mode 😉

He is the ultimate anti-graveyard card

since he can counter an entire Graveyard, and part of it while sitting behind your king tower.

He lets you :

  • Stay out of damaging spells range for a small time
  • Have a lot of safe space where you can put your other defenses to avoid them being frozen, since your opponent will most likely try to freeze your Dart Goblin.

The Mad Switching Trick

We’ll call it “The Night Switch” because it was OP. Except it still is.

What’s up guys, RohanReigns here and today I’ll be talking about one of the underrated cards in the game, the Dart Goblin. But luckily, Dart Goblin is slowly getting popularity especially in PEKKA decks.

In my opinion, Dart Goblin is a really useful card and can assist you greatly while defending or attacking.

Let’s look at his stats at tournament standard:

HP Damage DPS Hit Speed Speed Range Deploy Time
216 93 143 0.65 sec Very Fast (120) 6.5 1 sec

So here are some of the reasons why Dart Goblin, I think, is a pretty good card:

It is insanely fast!

Take it as a mini-xbow that moves!

It has amazing attack speed and very fast movement speed which makes it a usable card to slowly demolish mini-tanks like Knight and Valkyrie.

Dart Goblin synergizes very well with Ice Spirit and can kill glass canons like Musketeer and Ewiz safely. Also it can counter Skeleton Army and even Goblin Gang. Use it behind a tank while attacking and watch your opponent panic if he doesn’t have proper counters in hand.

It has got incredible range!

Slightly lesser range than Princess, Dart Goblin is excellent at defending as it can attack the units safely, without getting targeted.

He can’t be zapped but can be logged and arrowed. So it’s always better to place him down in front of King’s Tower while defending. This increases the chances of your opponents misplacing the spell and activating the King’s Tower as a result. Though this may happen rarely, placing him there is never a bad idea.

You can even place him far behind your Arena Tower where it can’t be logged.

That being said, Dart Goblin is a very good card as a defensive support.

It forces your opponent to react.

Although Dart Goblin do very little damage to the arena towers, he is a very good starting hand. Use him directly at the bridge and he will have already hit some few shots and died before your opponent could place his knight or any other card.

It’s more better to use him when you think your opponent is low in elixir, especially with a cheap tank like Ice Golem. This forces your opponent to use some elixir to defend and sometimes can make your opponent overcommit.

He is a cheap chip master!

Especially when he is leveled up. He does decent chip damage per deployment which may be sometimes crucial for winning. When paired with Miner, he is more than a chip card, he can wreck down a tower!

He is a spell-bait expert!

He perfectly fits in a spell-bait deck to bait your opponent’s log or arrows.

One easier way to bait their spell is by placing him behind a cheap tank like a Knight or a Ice Golem. It retargets units really quickly and switch from attacking a unit to the Tower instantly just like X-Bow.

So, most of the times, your opponent will use his spell to counter him because of how annoying he is!

Here is an example of a spell-bait deck with DG: Knight, Princess, Inferno Tower, Dart Goblin, Goblin Barrel, Goblin Gang, Rocket. (Wait, only 7 Cards here RohanReigns!!)

So guys, these were some of the specialities which makes Dart Goblin a usable card, especially in the current meta, where Graveyard and Night Witches are abundant.

Synergies with Dart Goblin:

Here are some useful and popular synergies with Dart Goblin:

Miner + Dart Goblin:

If your opponent decides to ignore the Dart Goblin even for some seconds, he will already have dealt some good damage on the tower.

Use this combo when you have generated some PEA(Positive Elixir Advantage ) and your opponent is low on elixir.

Any Tank + Dart Goblin:

While defending, knight+DG works well and so does Ice Golem+DG. PEKKA Dart Goblin deck is quite popular these days as that deck contains PEKKA, Battle Ram and Baby Dragon, which can tank for Dart Goblin while he whittles down hitpoints.

Hog + Dart Goblin:

Usually when your opponent counters your hog with an Inferno Tower, Hog+DG can help take that Inferno down quickly and this allows your hog to do some hits on their tower.

And if your opponent places down a troop like Musketeer or a Wizard to counter your hog, your Dart Goblin can take that unit down or can severly damage it.

Sometimes your opponent may place down a Inferno Tower early. In that case you can use your Dart Goblin to safely snipe that Inferno Tower from across the river.

Conclusion:

Honestly I love this card since it was released and I like to use him in my decks, especially in spell-bait Miner decks. He is really a good card in my opinion and is super annoying too! Here’s the end of this post. If I’ve missed anything, include it in the comment section below!

Peace out! Clash on!

Yarn’s Section

(A bit obsolete)

The Dart Goblin has one fastest load-times In Clash Royale, meaning he can lock onto a new target very fast. When left alone, he can deal 400 damage to the Arena Tower. When at 1-shot HP, he still can do 200 damage (2 hits) to the Arena Tower If left alone.

Dart Goblin has an insane attack range, which is just a bit shorter than the Princess, 6.5 tiles, which is similar to the Royal Giant. He can outrange most Towers in Clash Royale, including the Inferno Tower.

At Tournament Standards, he has exact same HP as the Princess. He doesn’t die to Zap but Arrows and The Log.

On defense, with the help of the Arena Tower and his insane attack speed, he can easily deal with these cards: Mega Minion, Skeleton Army, Balloon, Knight, Valkyrie, Musketeer, Fire Spirits, Ice Wizard, Minions, Bomber, Guards, Witch, Mini P.E.K.K.A, Lumberjack, Wizard, Electro Wizard, Sparky.

He is also excellent against Graveyard. If your opponent uses Ice Golem to soak damage for the Graveyard, use your Ice Golem too to distract all of the Skeletons while your Dart Goblin is picking them up one by one.

clash royale dart goblin 2

Dart Goblin + Ice Golem is going to be one of the best combos to deal with Elite Barbarians. Use Ice Golem to kite Elite Barbarians to the opposite lane while your Dart Goblin is hitting them hardly in front of the King’s Tower. If your opponent sends in a huge Elite Barbarians push, you should take a look at this guide for more details!

Dart Goblin is so good in chip cycle deck. Ice Spirit + Dart Goblin can easily deal 1000 damage to the Tower. This is so devastating combo so you will need to react asap If you get attacked by it. However, this combo is very easy to counter.

Ice Spirit is the best counter to Dart Goblin. He tanks 2 hits from the Dart Goblin and freezes it for 1.5s.

Since Dart Goblin can 1 hit Fire Spirit, he is also a great Furnace killer. If your opponent places the Furnace in a bad spot, your Dart Goblin can easily take it out from your side.

Thus, consider place your defensive building 5 tiles from the river.

If your opponent places his defensive Tower 4 tiles from the river, place your Dart Goblin like the gif below so It won’t get hit by the Tower:

However, you will want to place your Dart Goblin like this to bypass the Tesla and hit the Tower:

Tombstone is probably going to vanish from the meta since Dart Goblin + Ice Golem is enough to deal with tons of popular pushes.

All of the information Clash.World used in this article was shared by Yarn from OJ. You should watch the video below for more details:

What do you think about the Dart Goblin guys?

Will you give him a special slot in your deck?

Inferno Ghost – Best Deck for Farming Challenges!

153
inferno ghost

Hey Guys!

It’s Unstoppable, and I’m back with another video and deck guide on what I believe is one of the strongest deck in the current meta!

inferno ghost

Clash Royale Goblin HutClash Royale BatsClash Royale Inferno DragonClash Royale Skeleton Balloon
Clash Royale Mega KnightClash Royale MinerClash Royale Royal GhostClash Royale Zap

copy deck

I began using this deck, and I was shocked at how OP it was. I won game after game in Grand Challenges, and it seemed impossible to lose with it

I ended up going 2 12-0 Grand Challenges in a row with an additional 12-1 (loss was from a different deck) then several more games after that, with an incredible win streak of 36 wins in a row with this specific deck!

It’s absolutely insane for farming cards and gold (Already farmed around 2 million, I’m spending over 60K a day to not max out lol) and I have almost 350,000 cards won from GCs.

Please check the end for a 12-0 live gameplay and commentary guide on how to use it (and friend link for in game)!

The Deck

Clash Royale Goblin HutGoblin Hut

A very strong support card.

It allows you to play passively, and figure out what your opponent is using.

It will deal around 500 damage if left unattended, and yet it is very hard to take out.

Only spells are effective at actually destroying it.

In Double Elixer you will want to begin stacking multiple huts to create huge waves of spear goblins, creating a lot of pressure for your opponent to deal with.

Clash Royale BatsBats

Synergizes extremely well with Inferno dragon due to it’s large defensive potential and zap bait.

If they zap your bats, your inferno dragon gets a ton of value.

If they zap inferno dragon, bats generate value by killing opponent troops such as Flying Machine, Mega Minion, ground troops, etc.

Great on offense paired with a miner as well to create pressure, or behind Skelly Barrel.

Clash Royale Inferno DragonInferno Dragon

Main Tank killer.

You want to use Bats to bait out a zap so they can’t use it on Inferno Dragon.

It’s great for killing Mega Knights, Golems, Giants, P.E.K.K.As, and can be used effectively on the counterpush as well.

Often you can place a Skelly Barrel to tank for it so the drop damage will kill opponent’s units that they use to counter your Inferno Dragon, such as Bats.

Clash Royale Skeleton BalloonSkelly Barrel

One of the main win conditions of this deck.

Great on offense, surprisingly effective on defense.

Can kill Bats and Skeletons on death drop, and will kill Minions combined with a Zap.

Use a Miner to tank for the Skeletons that drop out. I love using it to tank because after it dies, the Skeletons explode, creating even more trouble for your opponent to deal with even after they destroy your barrel.

Clash Royale Mega KnightMega Knight

Key defensive unit of this deck. Since you don’t have poison, this is one of your best bets to killing three musketeers, swarmy troops, and any medium health support troop like a wizard or witch. Then it offers incredible counter pushing value with a skeleton barrel, bats, and miner to support. One of the strongest pushes in the game is Mega Knight with skelly barrel tanking, miner to the back of the king tower, Bats to distract a potential inferno dragon or tower, with an inferno dragon following behind.

Clash Royale MinerMiner

All around great for tanking troop.

Kills pump, defending troops, then proceeds to tank for a Skeleton Barrel or Bats.

Very versatile, and can be used on defense against a Royal Ghost.

Clash Royale Royal GhostRoyal Ghost

The new OP card in the game.

It’s great if you have this card, if not, no worries. Poison is a highly valid substitution.

It’s extremely versatile and can be used on defense (kills 3 Musks in 3 shots), oneshots Goblins, and is incredible on offense.

It has literally no positive elixer trades (knight and guards are equal).

It’s even a good move just to cycle this in the beginning of the game.

Clash Royale ZapZap

Pretty self explanatory card!

You can use with Skelly Barrel’s death damage to kill Minion Horde/Minions, otherwise just overall utility card for resetting Infernos, killing Bats, Skarmy, etc.

General Gameplan:

In the beginning, try to control the game.

I start passively, cycling Goblin Huts and perhaps a Royal Ghost or two, figuring out what he has.

There are no hard counters to this deck.

Notice how in my video I play passively for a bit, I don’t use Mega Knight or Inferno Dragon til necessary.

Skeleton Barrel, Royal Ghost, Miner, Bats, and Goblin Hut are typically the cards i cycle in single elixer, chipping my opponent out slowly.

If I am down a lot, notice how I often start building a big push with Mega Knight in the back, and begin stacking troops behind it for a monster push.

In double elixer, keep stacking more Huts. They will slowly begin to overwhelm your opponent.

Skeleton Barrel is great for tanking, once more.

Check out the video linked below for a comprehensive gameplay guide to this deck 🙂

I’d appreciate it if you follow my social media!

Ghost Bridge Spam – New Meta!

86
bridge spam

Hey guys, it’s NebulaNoodle back with another guide! First of all, happy 2018 to everyone, and best wishes for the new year.

Today I’m sharing a really really really good Ghost Bridge Spam deck.

This deck may only be viable until the next update, as Royal Ghost is definitely getting a nerf. It is too OP (like Night Witch at first release, which Supercell nerfed the hell out of).

But nevertheless, this is classic Vietnam Bridge Spam with the new boy, the Ghost!

A side note: I had a major trophy push recently to 3.9k, so this guide is partly to celebrate my success!

bridge spam

Clash Royale Ice GolemClash Royale Royal GhostClash Royale Battle RamClash Royale Bandit
Clash Royale Night WitchClash Royale Inferno DragonClash Royale PoisonClash Royale Zap

copy deck

Pros:

  • Super fun and super easy to use
  • Incredibly punishing
  • Counters beatdown easily
  • Contains many cheap punishing cards

Cons:

  • Weak defence (lots of squishy cards)
  • Need to know when to go crazy all out or try and defend (track opponent’s elixir)
  • Contains 4 legendaries
  • Weak to Sparknado and PEKKA

Card Breakdown

Clash Royale Ice GolemIce Golem: The core of this deck.

He is your tank for everything behind, and because he can be pushed by the fast troops in this deck and is so cheap (2 elixir), he is so good in Bridge Spam decks.

Whenever you see a Golem/PEKKA/Pump/anything heavy and slow-paced played, put Ice Golem down and go crazy!

Clash Royale Battle RamBattle Ram:

Supercell nerfed the Ram, but was still popular in 3M decks. Now it’s back and better than ever with the Ghost, and this 4 elixir card paired with Bandit or Ghost is an easy tower.

Place the Ram at the side, by the edge of the river, so the Ram charges right as it reaches the bridge and becomes even harder to stop! Keep making mini pushes (quick and devastating.)

Clash Royale Royal GhostRoyal Ghost:

The Newbie. WAYYYYY too OP. Just like NW at release.

He does splash damage, has invisibility until HE attacks (which is crazy offensive potential), is fast, and can kill every glass cannon in the game on the OPPONENT’s side, and goes back invisible after he finishes killing a troop and always gets a swing or two if not dealt with properly. Only for 3 elixir!

Everyone is using the Ghost on ladder. I like thinking of him as a troop in touchdown mode, because nothing can touch him until he attacks.

This way, he is really good at chip damage, similar to the Bandit. Because he is so cheap, he fits perfectly in Bridge Spam decks.

He can be used as a mini-tank as well (he is much better than the Knight for the same cost), because he can protect the Bandit/Ram/Night Witch from splash cards.

He basically replaces the Goblins/Ice Spirit in this deck.

Clash Royale BanditBandit:

Another special ability card. This gal has always been a staple in PEKKA/Bridge Spam decks, mainly in Control/Beatdown.

Her dashing ability is really valuable to scrape another 320+ damage off the tower, and placing her in the centre after taking one tower (and taking a tower is usually guaranteed in these decks) will often result in about 600 damage. Value!

Clash Royale Night WitchNight Witch:

She was nerfed to oblivion, and ended up only really fitting in Golem decks. But now Royal Ghost has come out, she is really good again.

Her spawned bats provide a lot of threat, and even though she isn’t as fast as the other cards in this deck, her bats can really stack up quickly and kill tanks pretty effectively.

She is more of the counterpush card in this deck.

Clash Royale Inferno DragonInferno Dragon:

Your main tank killer and other counter push card.

He provides lots of value if not distracted, to kill cards he hard counters, like PEKKA or Golem. Positive Elixir Trades!

Use the Poison to kill E-Wiz or distraction swarms when going against tank decks.

Even at half/minimal health, if you add Ghost/Ram/NW/Bandit, he can be used to melt down defensive troops, gaining even more elixir advantage.

Clash Royale PoisonPoison

Used on offense or defence. The Poison is used to gain elixir advantage against large clumps of ‘Fireballies’ or on offense.

It is incredibly crucial, when facing Graveyard decks, especially Giant/Golem Graveyard decks, that you know when to use Poison on offense and know if you can cycle back quickly enough to kill the poison, as this is your only reliable graveyard defence (Ghost’s splash radius is super tiny.)

Poison is probably one of the most important cards in this deck.

Clash Royale ZapZap:

Used mainly to kill swarms or reset Sparky (Sparknado hard counters this deck, so Zap is very important).

Zap, is of course used to reset Infernos. Just don’t be stupid with this card and you’re good.

This card has been explained so many times, that I think I don’t need to explain much more!

Replacements

Clash Royale Zapekf9WOpClash Royale The LogClash Royale Arrows

Clash Royale Poisonekf9WOpClash Royale fireball

You really can’t replace much in this deck.

Lots of the cards have special abilities that can’t be replaced, and the deck wouldn’t be as good without them.

If you are gonna replace Bridge Spam staple cards, you may as well not use Bridge Spam!

This Deck’s Weaknesses:

Clash Royale SparkySparknado

If you don’t have Zap in hand you’re pretty screwed.

And if they have something to kill the Inferno Dragon- RIP.

There are so many ground squishy troops, that Sparky can easily wreck everything and you may not have elixir in hand to defend the counter push.

Clash Royale P.E.K.K.APEKKA

Just like Sparky.

PEKKA dishes out high damage and has high HP, so the PEKKA can easily kill everything in two shots.

And PEKKA decks usually have E-Wiz so again they can kill your Inferno Dragon easily before it kills the PEKKA.

This Deck Does Well Against:

Clash Royale GolemGolem/Heavy Giant

WHENEVER you see the pump/Golem/Giant played, don’t worry about your elixir.

Whatever you have, just spam it on the bridge.

Ghost, Bandit, Ram, the works. Even try to go for the three crown!

It’s better not to use Poison here as you may need to save it against the Golem push.

Clash Royale Hog RiderHog Cycle (without Rocket):

It’s really easy to overwhelm them, as Hog Cycle decks often don’t have strong high damage/high DPS cards- most of the cards are squishy, and even Mini PEKKA can’t take out everything singlehandedly.

Neither can Inferno Tower/Cannon/Tesla. Plus this deck cycles so fast you will always have a Hog counter in hand. Hog users have no chance! Because Hog Rocket decks are decreasing in popularity you don’t need to worry about the opponent rocketing your push.

Hey Guys!

What’s up, it’s Unstoppable, and I’m finally back after a long break from the competitive scene after I went to CCGS.

Recently I’ve been back on the grind doing GCs and getting a ton of 12 wins

Because of all the success I’ve been having (farmed around 1.5 million gold already and have an almost maxed account), I wanted to share my tips with you guys on which decks to use, and how to use them.

Grand Challenges/Classic Challenges are the absolute best way to spend your gems, as you get 22K gold/1200 Cards per 12 wins. That’s absolutely insane value, and I highly recommend it.

Top Challenge Decks That Work In The Current Meta

Golem RG

Clash Royale GolemClash Royale Royal GhostClash Royale GuardsClash Royale Mega Minion
Clash Royale PoisonClash Royale Cannon CartClash Royale Electro WizardClash Royale The Log

Golem is one of the strongest archetypes in the game, if you know how to play it.

Due to it’s massive HP, you can support it with weaker troops (like mega minion) that deal high DPS while it beats down your opponent’s tower.

The tip for this Golem deck is to play slow at the beginning.

Unlike other players, I do like to play Golem sometimes in single elixer only in specific situations.

You only want to play Golem when you have a significant elixer advantage or when you know you will not get punished.

You can use a Golem on defense to tank your opponents supporting units while you defend against their tank. You can then counter push with that Golem and your defensive units.

Goblin Hut is really great for baiting out Poison so you can stack units like Night Witch and Mega Minion behind your Golem.

Balloon Hunter

Clash Royale Mega KnightClash Royale BalloonClash Royale HunterClash Royale Ice Golem
Clash Royale ZapClash Royale MinerClash Royale Ice SpiritClash Royale Mega Minion

Next, we have this Balloon/Hunter deck. I really love this deck.

I have got many 12 wins in GCs with this deck, before Royal Ghost was introduced.

This deck does not as well now because of Goblin Hut. It is very hard to get through the Goblin Hut

A good starting move is to cycle Ice Spirit at the beginning.

The Mega Knight is extremely good on defense and can translate very easily into a counterpush.

Golem decks actually counter this deck because it is really tough to stop Golem and supporting units even though you have Mega Knight and Hunter, it is not enough to stop a Golem.

When you have a lot of counterpushing units, use Ice Golem in front and support with a Balloon. It is very tough to stop this combination.

Hog Exenado

Clash Royale Hog RiderClash Royale ExecutionerClash Royale TornadoClash Royale fireball

Clash Royale GuardsClash Royale KnightClash Royale Ice SpiritClash Royale The Log

Next deck is an old Hog/Executioner deck but with Guards substituted for Goblins.

This deck is really strong in the current meta mainly because of Royal Ghost. Knight and Guards are excellent counters to Royal Ghost.

You have Tornado and Guards which are invaluable against bridge spam.

This deck also counters Golem really well due to the insane Exenado combination.

It furthermore destroys Three Musketeers as you have Tornado+Fireball for three muskies and Pump, as well as Guards for Battle Ram, and Ice Spirit/nado Executioner for Minion Horde.

You even have Log for Goblin Gang. But this deck is vulnerable to Tornado, so if they have Tornado it will be tough to break through.

You can start off with a Knight or split Guards in the back depending on what is in your starting hand.

Do not be afraid to Fireball an Elixir Pump.

Executioner with Tornado is a really good defensive strategy to use against Beatdown.

If your opponent plays a tank in the back you can punish with Hog in the opposite lane to force them to draw elixer to defend it.

Graveyard Cycle

Clash Royale GraveyardClash Royale Ice GolemClash Royale KnightClash Royale Archers
Clash Royale Inferno TowerClash Royale PoisonClash Royale The LogClash Royale Ice Spirit

This deck is Trainer Luis’s deck.

It is a double tank Graveyard deck, but with Inferno as the main defense. This deck is vulnerable to 3 Musketeers but it works really well against Golem, Hog, and many other deck archetypes.

If your opponent places an Elixir Pump you can punish him with Knight/Ice Golem and Graveyard push.

The optimal way of playing this deck is using Archers in good placements to defend an opponent push, then counterpushing with Graveyard.

It is deadly as they have to answer both the supporting units as well as Graveyard.

If your opponent places Golem in the back you can punish them by pushing on the other lane.

You always want to split Archers in the beginning or cycle Ice Spirit so you can push on any lane depending on your opponent’s push.

Giant Royal Ghost

Clash Royale GiantClash Royale PrinceClash Royale Royal GhostClash Royale Electro Wizard
Clash Royale Mega MinionClash Royale Ice SpiritClash Royale PoisonClash Royale Zap

The next deck is a Giant/Royal Ghost deck. This deck is really good because you can use Giant more easily on defense as opposed to Golem decks.

It is great for soaking up damage (for instance from your opponent’s Musketeer or Bats, then translating into a counterpush.

The Prince and Royal Ghost behind Giant is a good combination on offence due to their high DPS or splash.

You can also use Prince and Royal Ghost to defend than counter push with Giant in front.

You have E-Wiz to defend against units like Inferno Dragon, Bats, and the ever popular Skelly Barrel now. And Zap to use on offence against Inferno Dragon or Inferno Tower.

Starting moves are cycling Ice Spirit, using a Giant and pushing same lane as whatever your opponent drops, Ewiz/Mega Minion in back.

I dont recommend rushing with a Prince on offense, it is too aggresive.

Royal Ghost Bridge Spam

Clash Royale Royal GhostClash Royale Battle RamClash Royale Night WitchClash Royale Ice Golem
Clash Royale BanditClash Royale PoisonClash Royale ZapClash Royale Inferno Dragon

This deck is so overpowered right now. The key to this deck is to spam your units at the bridge so your opponent will not be able to counter this.

But do not spam mindlessly, you typically want to play slightly conservatively, then go almost all in when they invest elixer in the other lane.

For instance, if they use a Golem in back or elxier Pump, immediately Battle Ram + Night Witch the other lane. Or use a Ghost.

Night Witch paired with Battle Ram and Ice Golem in front to tank is a really good combination on offence.

Then they will be forced to spend a ton of elixer in defending, whereas you can simply use a Inferno Dragon to defend their Golem easily for a positive elixer trade.

Then you can use the Inferno Dragon for another counterpush as it is still alive.

Ghost is really good at countering Three Musketeers as well.

Cards Breakdown

Clash Royale P.E.K.K.AP.E.K.K.A.

After the update, I feel she is in a very good position in the meta.

With Giant and Mega Knight decks being popular, PEKKA can provide you lot of advantage.

She is a mostly a threat card in this deck and not a win-condition.

Her main use is on defence to kill opposing win-conditions and then go for a counter push.

Generally, don’t reveal her till double elixir time unless you are matched up against say, a Giant user so that you need her on defence.

Clash Royale MinerMiner

My favourite legendary card and the best right now according to CWA.

Miner is the main win-condition of this deck.

Miner can deal hundreds of damage with ease, taking out a chunk of the tower HP most of the time.

Important thing when using the miner is changing his placement every time.

One common thing I see is that 90% of the players I face send the Miner to the middle tile on the side of the tower nearer to vertical edge of the map.

Also, most players know this and can counter the first miner with ease.

Send him to another tile for more damage. Try to use all 16 tiles for placing him.

Don’t forget to use him to destroy pumps and assassinate princesses.

Clash Royale Royal GhostRoyal Ghost: The new RG!

Easily one of the most over-powered cards as of now, this guy is simply insane.

Royal Ghost is the card which has the role of a Runner i.e. a card which can be used on defence and can be quickly be transformed into a counter-push.

He also does well as a splash support for your PEKKA, taking care of the ground swarms, which distract her.

Being only 3 elixir, he helps to cycle through your deck.

Use his invisibility well to get the maximum value out of him.

Don’t hesitate to play him on defence against cards like Hog or Miner.

Clash Royale Electro WizardElectro Wizard

Ranked as the best right now by Clash.World since as far as I can remember.

eWiz is a pretty good utility card. He does a great job on defence with its fork stun-attack as well spawn zap.

On offense, he can help to protect your PEKKA against cards like Inferno Dragon and Inferno Tower.

Slightly fragile so see that you protect him while going for offense. eWiz can be one of the most annoying cards if he survives with even 1 HP left.

Clash Royale Flying MachineFlying Machine

Well honestly, I didn’t like this card even a bit since its release. But then I saw lot of people in my clan and on TV Royale using it and so decided to try out once again.

The card turned out to be astonishingly good in this deck.

Due to its range it can take shoot down many troops from a distance making it really great support.

Many times, it will get locked on to a tower instead of enemy troops and can whittle it down.

Miner + FM is a great combo when opponent is low on elixir.

Generally, main use of it is to defend and support from afar while PEKKA or Miner tank for it. One major weakness is that FM is pretty squishy since it can be one shotted by fireball.

Clash Royale PoisonPoison

My favourite card in the game.

Poison is one of the strongest spells in the meta right now. This is because of the dominance of cards like Guards and Bats which can be easily countered with Poison.

Use Poison to clear out the area and restrict the opponents moves.

It has a great synergy with Miner as well as PEKKA making it a great choice of spell to have in this deck.

Use it destroy buildings, glass cannons, swarms and finish of towers.

t is also an extremely good and definitely the safest counter to Graveyard.

One thing to remember is that use Poison when you are able to get lot of value and don’t go for damage.

Clash Royale ZapZap

A pretty self-explanatory card.

Many of you must be wondering why Zap is in this deck instead of The Log since eWiz is already in the deck.

There are 2 main reasons for this:

  1. After the nerf to Log Bait, Goblin Barrels are rarely seen, so Log isn’t that necessary in a deck like it was before the Balance Changes.
  2. When using cards like Miner and Graveyard, I personally prefer Zap over The Log as you can instantaneously attack the troops on opponent’s side which are used to counter your Miner or GY e.g. cards like Skeleton Army or Bats. The Log cannot hit all the skeletons of the skarmy and has no effect on air troops so Zap provides more value in that sense. And you have Poison already for pesky ground troops so stun effect of Zap can come in handy and will be helpful for you PEKKA.

Clash Royale Goblin HutGoblin Hut

Goblin Hut has greatly rose in popularity these days.

Personally, I have been using Goblin Hut for more than a year now, right since I was at 2.8k trophies and I must say Goblin Hut is at its apex right now.

The best spawner right Now IMO.

Goblin Hut is mainly used as a distraction for building targeting troops, for continuous chip damage, continuous distraction due to spear goblins for ground troops.

Their ability to snowball quickly synergizes well with Miner as the Spear Goblins can deal insane amounts of damage when protected by a tank or mini-tank.

Substitutions

*Note: These substitutions are only for those who don’t have the cards, have low level cards or don’t like the original cards. This is the strongest version of the deck. While the other versions are also strong, not all are this effective*

General Gameplan

Instead of doing a minute-by-minute game plan section, I am going to explain the actually way of using the cards to win.

The reason is that due to unpredictable nature of this game, a minute-by-minute game plan mostly works only in theory and not in practice.

Therefore, knowing how to use the deck is better way of understanding the general game plan.

The Best Starting moves for this deck are:

  1. Placing a Goblin Hut
  2. Sending a Miner for chip damage.

Other than this, don’t make the first move and wait for the opponent to play, and then make your move so as to counter it.

In this deck, a primary Goblin Hut should always be placed in the middle of your side of the arena. And if you are able to cycle to another Goblin Hut, then the secondary Goblin Hut should be placed behind your crown tower, in the corner of the arena.

Try to have at least 1 Goblin Hut up throughout the game as those Spear Goblins can determine how successful your push/counter push will be.

There are two main sources of damage

  1. Chipping with Goblin Hut Miner.
  2. Overwhelming with PEKKA Poison.

Chipping with Goblin Hut and Miner is something you will utilize the most in any match.

These are cheap passive plays which can do small chunks of damage and don’t usually provide a risk for counter pushes.

This also includes using Flying Machine, eWiz and especially the Royal Ghost along with Miner. These cards though should be used mainly as counter push after defence along with Miner.

When you are the one to make the push, then mostly stick to Miner along with Spear Goblins from the Hut with Poison and Zap ready in your hand just in case they are needed.

Overwhelming with PEKKA and Poison is something which you will use few times but will deal large amounts of damage per push/counter push.

Don’t reveal your PEKKA in the first two minutes unless a situation arises when you need her desperately on defence.

Cards like RG, eWiz and Goblin Hut are decent counters to Hogs and Rams so in this case there is no need to use her unless the push is more than 10 elixir or you don’t have any of the other cards which is rare case.

However, against tanks like Giant and Golem, use your PEKKA.

counter push

Here, defended his Mega Knight push and then went on to Overwhelm him with Counter push and destroy the tower.

Overwhelming can be done in two ways: As a counter push or as a Beatdown push.

In counter push, you use your PEKKA on defence and then go for a counter push by placing support cards and Miner Poison.

Here, overwhelming happens because opponent will be a bit low on elixir to defend the push.

A beatdown push is basically placing PEKKA in the back and then forming a big push behind her.

With proper placements and moves, you can easily overwhelm lot of defensive set-ups.

Overwhelming here means to form a strong push such that opponent has to invest lot elixir on defence.

Then, you use your Poison to weaken most of the opponent’s defences and chip down with Miner while PEKKA is tanking.

Not necessary to use Miner on crown towers. You can use him to assassinate cards like Executioner which can survive Poison and can wreak havoc on your defences.

In overtime, focus on defence and chip down with Miner Poison.

This deck can defend any one-lane push with ease.

PEKKA is the MVP for defence while Poison helps to weaken all troops.

RG helps to invisibly attack the weakened troops while eWiz uses his forked stun.

Goblin Hut is a great distraction while FM can chip from afar, protected from enemy troops.

Flying Machine, eWiz and Gob Hut are targets for spells like Fireball and Poison. So, you can bait out spell with help of one card and then use the others, much to the annoyance of the opponent.

vs pekka

A PEKKA + Ice Golem combo comes on my side. Instead of over defending, I just place a Goblin Hut to distract them and Flying Machine to kill them. He also uses Poison to kill my Hut and Flying Machine, but FM due to its range avoids most of the Poison and successfully kills the PEKKA. 9 elixir on defence for 13 elixir push. +4 elixir advantage with FM surviving.

Matchups

This section isn’t necessary as everything is explained above.

This deck does well against nearly all decks.

Major weakness I personally see is against 3M decks.

You should always Poison the 2 musketeers while use PEKKA in the lane of Battle Ram/ Hog rider or the princes (popular after update).

eWiz + Zap should be reserved for Minion horde. Gob Hut should always stay on the map as said earlier.

RG should be use to kill ground swarms or single musketeer in some cases.

FM should be used if you need it and can spare elixir.

Many times, you over defend and thus can’t defend the next time.

That’s all folks! Hope you guys enjoyed reading my guide.

As you know, I don’t do deck guides much but really loved this deck and hope you guys try it out!

Crazy 12-Win Giant Mini P.E.K.K.A Cycle Deck for Challenges

62

Hey again, it’s Zigge here.

Today I’m going to share with you one of the most enjoyable decks I have ever made.

This is a Giant Mini P.E.K.K.A cycle deck which relies heavily on pressure and counterpushing potential to get through damage.

This deck focuses on chipping away multiple times, but can also take a tower quickly if it really needs to.

Let’s see what we’ve got!

Pros

Cons

  • Lacks on defense
  • Weak against defensive decks
  • Hard to learn

The Giant Mini P.E.K.K.A Cycle Deck

Clash Royale GiantGiant

This is the main and only pushing card of this deck.

Giant has the most health for its cost, rocking 668,8 per 1 Elixir, compared to the Golem’s 532 (not including Golemites).

Due to his cheap cost, you can plop him down at the bridge just before a defense is finished.

Your defending units will go behind him and make for a strong counterpush.

This is the winning strategy in most cases; defend and counterattack.

You rarely want to build up your own pushes (I’ll talk about that later).

Clash Royale fireballFireball

In my opinion the most versatile spell in the game.

It’s great at taking out Zappies, Flying Machine and Fireballies* ,when combined with a Zap.

It’s great on defense but helps the most on offense when it comes to just pushing through damage regardless of the Elixir cost.

In x2 Elixir you can afford letting Fireballs flying left and right just to chip off damage here and there, despite the damage nerf against crown towers.

*Fireballies are units (typically ranged attackers) who almost die to fireball, but not quite.

Clash Royale ZapZap

The small lightning bolt that will always be a part of Clash Royale’s meta game.

Great at taking out Skeleton Army and Bats, but it shines the brightest when combined with a Giant and your own Bats, to redirect the Inferno Tower laser beam onto the Bats.

You can never go wrong with Zap in your deck, and there will always be a situation where you want to use it, whether if it’s to clear up a bunch of medium health units after a Fireball, or if it’s to remove low health units immediately.

Clash Royale MinionsMinions

The MVP in Giant decks.

Because of their ability to survive a Zap (and log) it’s one of the best cheap cards to put behind him and they can’t be ignored.

It’s not very hard to take out Minions on their own, but with a Giant tanking it’s a different story, especially since you are likely ahead in Elixir and with a couple spells at your fingertips

They will have to find a card that takes out both the Giant and the Minions, or at least distract them long enough for their tower to take them out after the Giant.

Clash Royale BatsBats

The cheaper but more fragile substitute for Minions.

If your opponent has any type of Inferno unit, Bats combined with Zap are your first hand pick.

Due to their extremely high dps, they will tear down your opponent’s defending units in a flash unless your opponent has an Ice Golem, Zap or a very well placed Ice Spirit.

Keep track of your opponent’s cycle, so that they don’t have a hypothetical Zap in hand when you decide to play your them.

Having your Bats zapped away immediately then having your Giant melt to an Inferno Dragon is not how you want to play this game.

Clash Royale Mini P.E.K.K.AMini P.E.K.K.A

We finally get to the card you’ve all been waiting for.

This deck revolves around the Mini P.E.K.K.A than it does around the Giant.

Based on what deck your opponent is playing, you have to play your Mini P.E.K.K.A differently, which also changes how the whole deck functions.

The more comfortable you are with Mini P.E.K.K.A defense, the more success you will have with this deck.

It’s important to keep your Mini P.E.K.K.A alive at all costs, without it, you have nothing on defense, so don’t waste it either!

Clash Royale Ice SpiritIce Spirit

The best card in the game.

Go check it out here!

Clash Royale The LogThe Log

You will find lots of uses for this cheap spell even with Zap and Fireball in your deck.

Neither of the other spell take out Goblin Barrel as well as The Log does, and it’s also the best spell against Princess or Goblin Gang.

It’s very easy to play as long as you time it right and don’t throw it out too early.

General Gameplan

Early Game (3:00-2:00)

As always you wanna figure out what deck your opponent is running.

The most important thing is to keep track of what Giant and Mini P.E.K.K.A counters they have.

At this point you shouldn’t be attacking so much, just lay back and defend.

Mid Game (2:00-0:30)

Here’s your time to shine.

Counterattacking is easy and you will probably have figured out what your opponent is trying to do in order to win.

Defend with Mini P.E.K.K.A then put your Giant and one pack of flyers at the bridge.

Be ready with spells and react accordingly depending on what your opponent counters with.

Late Game (0:30-)

This deck can take a tower if it really needs to.

You have three spells, the most health for its cost in the game and one of the best DPS units.

This deck doesn’t do very well in the late game, so stack up all you’ve got and hope for the best.

Matchups

Clash Royale Hog RiderHog Rider

This is the ideal matchup for this deck.

Mini P.E.K.K.A + Ice Spirit takes out their Hog Ice Golem combo and then sets you up for a counterattack.

Spells are very important in this matchup, since you need to clear out the small units they will most likely have in their deck.

Zap and The Log do a great job at this, and Fireball combined with either The Log or Zap can take out their Musketeer.

Clash Royale GolemGolem

This matchup is a bit harder.

You can’t counterattack as much so instead you have to pressure your opponent with Giants at the bridge when they pump up or play their Golem.

Golem decks usually don’t have a single counter to Giant and Minions, so when they’re out of Elixir, rush them at the bridge.

Mini P.E.K.K.A does well vs the Golem and Golemites.

Fireball and the Log take out the Night Witch they will most likely have behind, and the Bats and Mega Minion will be finished by a Zap.

Clash Royale Lava HoundLava Hound

This is one of the tougher matches.

You have to be very offensive because of your opponent’s weak defense.

Never let them get down the Lava Hound and Balloon combo. Save your Zap for their Lava Pups and instead use The Log against their Skeleton Army. \

If they have Zap, use Minions on defense.

If they have Arrows, use Bats!

Clash Royale X-BowX-Bow

Definitely one of your better matchups.

You have as cheap of a cycle as them, and you have the perfect counter.

It can sometimes be hard to get through, and most of your damage will be done by spells.

They don’t have a great counter to either Minions or Bats, and most of the time they won’t have a small distraction unit for your Mini P.E.K.K.A.

Clash Royale GiantGiant

Another pretty simple matchup!

Out-cycle them and take out their push with Mini P.E.K.K.A and Fireball.

Clash Royale MinerMiner

Hardest match of them all.

It will be very difficult to break through their defense.

They have an even cheaper cycle than you, and the perfect counter for all of your cards.

You have to defend well and try to chip their tower down slowly.

That’s basically it for me guys, make sure to comment down below what you think, or don’t. I don’t really care.

Until next time, stay tuned!
