Hello my friends! Let’s talk about the Freeze combo today. I know that most new players do hate/love this combo because of its effective. Although it was extremely effective in Clash Royale before the Freeze Spell got nerfed, there are still loads of players using this combo. That’s why I want to discuss about it today.
The attacker will drops the Freeze Spell and freeze everything within the spell’s radius for 5+ seconds, during this time, the opponent’s Hog/Balloon/Prince,… will have enough time to deal devastating damage to your Crown Tower. Also, many players love using Minion Horde with the Freeze Spell since that card also can deal lots of damage too. Basically, this is how Freeze combo works.
How to counter it?
Once you have identified that the opponent has the Freeze Spell card on his Desk, you should always be ready for the next time he places it. If you play defense for positive Elixir trade, just make sure that you drop your cards right at the center and spread them a bit so the opponent can’t freeze them all.
Also, don’t place your troops until the attacker drops the Freeze. You will take damage, for sure, but that’s better than dropping your troops and watching the enemy troops hitting your Tower badly.
Don’t place any building right next to your weakened Crown Towers. It’s not a good idea at all. They will be susceptible to get destroyed by any spell card.
If you have more than 1 building card, you can easily lure the enemy Hog/Balloon from the weakened side to the other one.
Because the enemy troops (Hog/Balloon) only deal damage to your buildings and Towers, you can take the advantage of this If your defensive troops don’t get damaged. Make a counter-attack with your survived troops. The opponent has just spent 4 Elixir for the Freeze Spell and is not ready to defend against your counter-attack. But, be smart with your counter-attack. Don’t just place either the Hog Rider or the Balloon If you know that he still has the Minion Horde.
Play patiently, get the the elixir advantage and you can take control of the battle!
Lots of players are using this strategy, especially below Arena 6 and most new players don’t have a decent strategy to deal with it. I am going to give you some good solutions to deal with those Hut Decks.
Hut Battle Decks are pretty popular in Clash Royale. Players use this strategy always attempt to overwhelm you with the troops produced continuously by the Goblin Hut, Barbarian Hut or the Skeleton Tomb. Sometimes, you will also face players who use Elixir Collector in order to speed up this progress. When they have a decent number of troops on the ground, they will probably use ranged/AoE troops like Spear Goblins, Baby Dragon, Musketeer, Witch,… to overwhelm your troops. Sometimes, they may use the Rage Spell once all troops are on your land, skyrocket their movement speed and attack damage.
How to counter Hut Decks?
You should try to take down those Huts as soon as possible with your damage Spell Card (Lightning, Rocket, Fireball,…). The Lightning is extremely great at dealing with those annoying Huts with the large radius and high damage. Most of the time, you can deal damage to the Huts and also the Crown Tower nearby.
On defense, you should have Cards which can deal AoE damage (Wizard, Valkyrie, Baby Dragon,…) to the incoming squad. Zap and Arrows Cards are also pretty great against weak troops.
Always attempt to lure the enemy troops to the center of your side so both Crown Towers can hit them.
Don’t hesitate to drop a spell on a large group of troops and get the positive Elixir trade. The opponent will always try to bunch up his troops so also don’t waste your Spell Cards on just a few troops.
The Bomb Tower is not a bad choice at all. With 1-2 hits, it can take down a decent number of troops.
When should I start attacking?
Attacking wins the game, not defending. The best time you should attack is when the opponent places the Barbarian Hut (or Goblin Hut) by spending 7 Elixir. Just let those 2 first Barbarians hit your Tower, wait and use a high Elixir Card to attack the other side which is not targeted by the Barbarians (or Goblins). Most of the time, your opponent will be panic and wrongly drop lots of cards, you can easily deal with them when the opponent is panic, truly. Even If he can handle this, you still can deal a decent damage to the opponent Tower.
Do you have any other idea to deal with the Hut Decks? Don’t hesitate to share your opinions guys! Also, please share this post with your friends If you have found it helpful. That will help this blog a lot! You rock!
Hello guys! Clash Royale was just released in global for a few days ago and I am sure that plenty of stuffs are still fresh for you. I have been playing this game for 2 months and have gathered a lot of experience that may be very helpful for you.
Clash Royale Basic Knowledge
Clash Royale Basic Knowledge
Everything you can get from Chests (including Free Chest and Crown Chest) is based on your current Arena. Which means you can’t get any card which has not been unlocked yet. That’s why you should push your trophies as high as you can because the rewards are always better in higher arenas.
If you are a free-to-play player, try to focus on Cards you want to use only. Also, take a look at top player decks in your Clan and you may know which ones are useful when you hit high level. Don’t level up all cards for just XP, you will need Gold badly later, when it takes more than 1k Gold for every upgrade. Gold is the only one content blocker in this game. Also, save up your Gold and buy the 10k Gold Package with 500 Gems, that’s the best way to spend Gem right now. You can read more at here about how to spend Gems in game properly.
Don’t be mad when you have a losing-streak. This happens to all of us, I even lost 5-6 in a row before but I got 4-5 wins right after that. Just close the game when you feel it’s really bad because we can try again anytime. Also, don’t forget to watch your replays, you can learn a lot from your mistakes.
You only get dropped to the previous Arena If your trophy is 50 lower than the requirement of the current Arena, this is a slight buffer for all players.
I’d like to recommend you never spend more than 20 Gold to buy 1 Common Card and 100 Gold to buy 1 Rare Card. You can buy the second Epic Card If you really need it.
The matchmaking system in Clash Royale is totally based on your trophy. Don’t worry If you face a player which has 2 levels higher than you because that means you are doing very well and the opponent is not really good since he can’t push further.
Some notes for the timer in Clash Royale:
You can get the Free Chest every 4 hours and you can stack up to 2 of them, that’s about 8 hours.
You can get 1 Crown Chest every 24 hours from the time you get the first one. If it takes you more than 24 hours to finish a Crown Chest, you can immediately have the next one right after that.
You can request for Cards every 8 hours, which means you can donate up to 60 cards everyday.
The Shop resets everyday at midnight PST. Check it out everyday to get the cards you are missing.
I hope you guys found this helpful. Don’t hesitate to ask If you need any help. Also, please do me a huge favor and share this with your friends, I will really appreciate it!
I know that most new players in Clash Royale want to destroy the King’s Tower right after taking down a Crown Tower because of the instant win. Player, who can take down the King’s Tower at first, will immediately win the battle. But is it worth it to do that? I am going to explain everything about this in this guide.
At first, let’s take a look at these facts:
The King’s Tower’s HP (Health Points) is much greater than the Arena Towers. In fact, the HP of the King’s Tower is over 60% greater than one Arena Tower!
Usually, it is much safer to win by either destroying one or two Arena Towers and by playing good defense to prevent your opponent from destroying two of your Arena Towers.
The King is in “sleep mode” when the battle begins, which means that he will not assist you on defense with his cannon as long as he is sleeping. In order for the King to wake, one of the following must happen:
One of the Arena Towers is destroyed.
The King’s Tower would have to be attacked. If both of the Arena Towers are still up and the King’s Tower is damage, then that will awaken the King.
Don’t attach the King’s Tower first
Note: Avoid attacking the King’s Tower if you have not destroyed an Arena Tower! As this will awaken your opponent’s King on defense, and he will start firing at your troops with his cannon. Thus, make sure when you’re dropping area damage cards such as Fireball or Arrows, avoid touching the King’s Tower! Inflicting damage onto the King’s Tower before taking out an Arena Tower is one of the biggest mistakes new players make and this makes a very big difference in battles.
Do attach the Arena Tower first
After you have destroyed an Arena Tower, you must decide whether to destroy the second Arena Tower or destroy the King’s Tower. Most of the time it is better to attack the second Arena Tower as it has significantly less HP than the King’s Tower and is also closer in distance. Usually, the only time you should pursue attacking the King’s Tower instead of the second Arena Tower is if the King’s Tower is at a lower HP. Or if your opponent is in the lead by destroying two of your towers and you are low on time, then you need to make the quick decision of whether to go for the win by destroying the King’s Tower, or play it safe and go for the second Arena Tower to end the battle in draw or force overtime. Don’t worry, I’ll teach you how to make these smart choices soon.
Okay, I hope this small Clash Royale tip can help you improve the quality of your battle. If you find this helpful, please share it with your friends and Clan members. Cheers!
Elixir Advantage Trick – Secret to Winning the Battle
Hello my friends, in this guide, we are going to discuss about the Elixir Advantage, the most important factor in Clash Royale. I will also mention couples of things you are probably doing, both good and bad ways, help you be more conscious of your play style and make you a much better player.
Elixir Advantage Trick – Secret to Winning the Clash Royale Battle
As we all know, both players will receive the same amount of Elixir throughout the battle time and the Cards will go back and forth. It’s very hard to destroy a Tower in game since it’s the goal every player targets. The best time to destroy a Tower is obviously when it is not protected. One way is to simply bait a tower into being undefended then steal it (Goblin Barrel, Prince,…). However, If you can kill high Elixir cards, you will have lots of Elixir to use and your opponent just can’t afford to defend against them. Defeating your enemy to gain more Elixir to have an advantage over enemy.
For example: Drop the Arrows card onto the Goblin Barrel, If you can do it right, your tower will just take the 30 damage from the Barrel and 0 damage from the Goblins. 3 Elixir for 4 Elixir, that’s a gain of 1 Elixir for you. Do it couples of times in the battle and you can earn a few free cards to knock down the enemy Towers (obviously). There are plenty of ways to spend your Elixir but as far as I can see, 5 Elixirs is enough to take down a tower (Balloon, Prince,…).
Yes! You got it! Make enough Elixir trades and you will have enough Elixir to destroy the Tower and win the battle. This is the most reliable way to win Battles in Clash Royale. The secret to winning in Clash Royale is gain more Elixir from your enemy.
Proactive Cards should be cards which can threaten the enemy Crown Towers and hard to made Elixir-positive trades. They are the cards you can play blind when it hits 10 Elixir. Don’t use any card which can’t deal a single damage to the Tower before it dies, that’s the rule #3 above.
Minions: Most of the time, they can’t deal much damage before getting killed. Don’t use them proactively.
They are cards which help you do positive Elixir trades in the battle. Don’t bother to drop the Arrows on 1 Elixir Skeleton but a Minion Horde or the Skeleton Army.
The upside: Most of the time, they will swing the battle in your favor.
Think clearly before using your reactive cards for the positive Elixir trades. Using 3 Elixir to deal with 2 Elixir is going to destroy your own Towers.
A single Lightning Spell can kill equal level Witch, Musketeer and Wizards.
Trading HP Vs. Elixir
Never lose the sight of the end goal: Having more Crowns before the clock goes to 0:00. There is no difference between 1-0 and 3-0. One of the most common mistakes that I have seen is players focus on a defense instead of dealing damage to the enemy Towers, especially at the end of the battle. Your Crown Towers have decent HP and they can take care of themselves in an attack. Don’t Arrow a pack of 3 Goblins or Minions.
A Tower with 1 HP wins the game as much as a Tower with 1000 HP. Sometimes, just let your Tower take hundreds damage and spend those Elixirs on a Proactive cards, which can finish off the enemy Tower. Using the Prince in the opposite lane you are getting attacked is a good common trick. If both players have all Towers: Just keep defending because you still have lots of time to finish off the enemy Towers.
A big thanks to The_RumHam for sharing these tips.
I hope you could learn something new after reading this guide. Don’t forget to share this guide with your friends If you like it, I will really appreciate it, that will help this blog a lot!
Hello guys, It’s Ash! Nice to see you guys again in this new post! Today, I am going to give you my own advice of attacking and deploying Elixir fundamentals in Clash Royale. I hope you guys will like it!
Elixir – Basic Guide to Attacking and Deploying Clash Royale
Clash Royale Elixir Basic Guide Part I
When starting your battle, you should first allow your Elixir bar to fill
Another example is playing a defense such as the Inferno Tower right away. This is a bad idea as your opponent can just wait a few seconds to load up on full Elixir, plan out a good counter, and also weaken your Inferno Tower without even touching it because of the Inferno Tower’s 40 second lifetime. Thus, it is important to first allow your Elixir bar to load up. Loading up on your Elixir will increase your chance of winning the battle.
Usually, you will face opponents who will also wait to deploy until they have a full Elixir bar. In this case, you have two options:
Deploy your card first – If you reach 10 Elixir and deploy you deploy your card first, then you will be given a greater Elixir lead for every second your opponent remains at full Elixir.
For example, say you have the Prince and Archer card in your starting hand. Do you start with the Archers or your Prince? It is often better to start with the Archers due to their significantly less Elixir cost (3 Elixir compared to Prince’s 5 Elixir cost). Why is this important? This is important as starting with a high Elixir-costing card is often dangerous. If your opponent simply places a Tombstone card (3 Elixir cost), then you are quickly in losing the Elixir race by 2.
A good idea is to load up on Elixir to create a stronger combination of cards is to deploy your troop card at the very end of the battlefield (behind your Towers)
As your troop(s) take a longer time to travel to the opposite side, you allow yourself to load up on greater Elixir. Thus, if you wish to create a deadly combination such as a Giant + Musketeer + Witch, then this requires 14 Elixir to do so. To accomplish this, you can place your Giant at the far end behind one of your Towers and by the time he travels to the crossing bridge, you will have the additional 9 Elixir to complete your combination.
When starting your battle, you may choose to attack either of your opponent’s Arena Towers first. However, if your opponent chooses to attack first, then you should prepare a counter to his threat to protect your tower rather than ignore the threat and attack the other tower. For example, if your opponent sends out Archers against your left Arena Tower, ignoring the Archers and going for the right Arena Tower with your Prince card is a bad idea because the Archers will deal significant damage to your left Arena Tower while there is no guarantee that your Prince will make it to right Arena Tower as your opponent can simply place a Tombstone or Skeleton Army to stomp your Prince. And so, ignoring the threat and making a reckless play like that can cost you the battle right from turn one.
Focus on destroying one Arena Tower at a time
A big mistake I see new players often make is that they keep switching towers. You should focus on destroying the tower with the lowest HP first, and then move onto attacking the second tower while also playing defense if you’re in the lead (to let the clock run out).
Try to shift the momentum of the battle towards the direction of your healthiest Arena Tower
For example, say that your left Arena Tower has 1000 HP and your right Arena Tower has 2000 HP (and both your opponent’s Arena Towers are at full health). In this scenario, your opponent will try to constantly target your left Arena Tower since it is obviously weakened. However, it is still very possible for you to win even if you’re trailing. What you should do to make a comeback is try to force your opponent to attack right Arena Tower rather than your weakened left Tower.
In order to do this, you should load up on Elixir, and play a little defense on your left Arena Tower (remember Arena Towers have Archers atop them to assist you on defense so take advantage of that) and then make the first move in attacking your opponent’s right Arena Tower with a good combo (i.e. Giant + Musketeer). This will make it difficult for your opponent to ignore the big threat and will have him shift his offense towards to protect his Arena Tower. With his offense shifted towards the right side, you can now focus on repeatedly placing pressure towards this side (preventing your opponent from spending Elixir to target your left side). This strategy will allow you to even the playing field, while going for a one Crown victory.
The most powerful attacks are attacks that are played in combinations
For example, a card such as the Giant is not much of a threat alone as he is a very slow troop. However, when combined with a ranged attacker such as the Archer or Musketeer card, it becomes a much bigger task to stop this threat. A Giant alone can be taken down by a 3 Elixir Minion card, but with the assistance of Archers, the Minions will not be able to take out the Giant (as he makes his way to your opponent’s tower). Thus, you should constantly try to load up on Elixir (and also win Elixir trade-offs) and attack in combinations!
Air troop = A troop that can fly and attack from above. Air troops can avoid being targeted by Ground troops that cannot target flying units (such as Bomber, Prince, Knight, Valkyrie, etc.).
Melee troop = A troop that fights mano a mano (hand-to-hand combat).
Range troop = A troop that can attack from a distance. Range troops such as Archers are able to attack from afar and so they are best utilized behind melee troops as the melee troops are able to shield your ranged attacker.
There are two types of damage inflicting cards
Cards that deal “point damage” (damage to a single troop or building) and cards that deal “area or splash damage” (damage to multiple troops or buildings). Point damage cards include Musketeer, Prince, Archer, Mini Pekka, etc. Area damage cards include Bomber, Valkyrie, Witch, Baby Dragon, Arrow, Fireball, etc. While it may sound like area-damaging cards are the better option, they are among the weakest cards in the game. Thus, these two types of cards have different roles. With the ability to damage multiple units, area damage cards are best utilized for defeating hordes or swarms of low HP troops such as Skeletons, Goblins, Barbarians, etc. While point-damaging cards tend to have the greatest DPS (Damage Per Second) among all cards and so they can best utilized for destroying high HP units. For example, a Mini Pekka can be used to quickly take down a Giant. While an area attacker like the Valkyrie will struggle to deal decent damage onto the Giant.

Since Clash Royale is a pretty new game so many players can’t understand the rules in game completely. I’d love to write this small guide and help you!
On the event of taking down an Arena Tower, a new region on the opponent’s side is opened, available for you to deploy your Troop Cards to have an upper hand on the opponent.
The battle deck consists of only 8 cards, so you want all your cards to be ones that you will be using, otherwise that is a waste of a valuable cardspace.
Winning the Battle in Clash Royale
If you destroy the other player’s King’s Tower, you win immediately.
If no one is able to take down the King’s Tower or have more towers destroyed than the opponent within the first 3 minutes, sudden death is enabled, a mode in which the next player to destroy a tower wins.
If that is not able to happen within another minute, the game will end as a tie and no one will receive or lose any of their Trophies.
First, your cards will spawn in a pattern based on the card slots you put them in. The card in the first slot will spawn first, followed by slot 2, then slot 3, and finally slot 4. After that the pattern repeats. Due to this unique system you will want a tank in slot one to soak damage for your other cards.
Second, your towers recharge elixir up to 4 times the normal speed. This means using many high elixir cost cards like Mega Knight and Three Musketeers is actually good for you.
The best formula to card synergy is Tank + Support, and Rascals gives us this in just one card! Just like in the card description, the Rascal Boy soaks damage while the girls attack enemies from behind. But due to the Rascal Boy’s rather low hit points for a Tank, I recommend putting this card in a slot that’s right behind a tank to cover this weakness.
/>src=”https://clash.world/images/clash-royale-bowler.png” alt=”Clash Royale Bowler” width=”180″ height=”216″ />The Bowler is an amazing defensive card for just 5 elixir. His penetrating attack and ability to knock back some enemies makes him a good choice for defending against big pushes. His boulder can easily counter Skeleton Barrel, Goblin Barrel, Witch, Royal Hogs, and even Barbarians. However, his weakness is the inability to attack air units and slow hit speed that results in not being able to counter Tanks. He can also get killed by P.E.K.K.A in just a few shots. To cover his weaknesses, you can put a more higher health unit and an air targeting DPS unit in the slots before him.
What’s up Clashers! Welcome back to the Arena. This game, on which we spend hours trying to get that Tornado right, called Clash Royale has a magnificent history and has witnessed numerous ups and downs. In today’s article we’re gonna have a look at some of the epic moments, amazing updates and all the game changing things that Clash Royale has ever witnessed, right from its Global launch till the present time (2016 – June 2022).
Birth of Clash Royale Esports
This journey started in 2017 with the first season of the CRL(Clash Royale League) World Championship that took place in London. It was and still is a big hit. Sergio Ramos was crowned as the First Ever Clash Royale World Champion. The CRL formats have been updated from time to time. For example, from 2018 – 2020, the CRL format changed into a Team Event instead of an Individual Event. But now, in 2021, it has been transformed into an Individual Event again. But as time progressed, many such Clash Royale Events took place. Here is a list of major events and their winners.
I don’t know how many of you guys are aware of it. Still, in the beginning, when the game was newly launched, there were only 3 rarities of cards, namely, Common, Rare and Epic in Clash Royale. Later on, came the Legendary Rarity, which brought not only new cards in the game but also brought many new exciting mechanics. Yes, you heard right, this is the speciality of the Leggie Rarity. Whenever a new Legendary Card is released, it brings a brand new mechanic in the game. Here is the list of all the Leggies and their mechanics. Remember that there might be other cards with the same mechanic as well. Still, pretty much every completely new mechanic in the game is first released through a Legendary Card.
Well, that’s it for today’s Article. Hope you liked it and enjoyed it. But don’t worry as this memorable journey doesn’t end just here. Stay tuned for Part 2 to know more about such fantastic events in Clash Royale history. If you wanna talk with fellow clashers, join our Discord to discuss more about the game and share your moments.
