The highly anticipated Executioner is being released this Friday and I would like to share some tips and tricks to unlocking him as soon as possible!

Best Tips for Newly Released Cards!

Read more about these four new cards at here.

Gemming it

On the day of the release, there will usually be a special offer in the shop. This is the scaling:

  • 400 Common Cards for 100 Gems.
  • 100 Rare Cards will sell 150 gems.
  • 10 Epic Cards for 400 Gems.

After purchasing these packs, you will be able to level them up to one level below tournament standard.

Each of these packs are a very good deal. You are getting 4 Common cards for 1 Gem, 3 Rare cards for 2 Gems, or 1 Epic card for 40 Gems.

The offer will only last the day of release and will disappear the next day.

Giant, Magical, and Super Magical Chests

For Common, Rare, and Epic Cards, these chests are the best for finding them, but when should you open them?

Do not open them immediately after the card releases. You will only get 1x of the card you would like.

Instead, wait to unlock it in a Crown chest, Free chest, Gold chest, Silver chest, any other chest.

Then open your special chest and you will be able to get more of that card.

Optionally, you can purchase the pack of cards in the shop and then open your chest to get a load of them.

Clan Chests

A popular way to unlock cards is saving up the Clan chest.

The contains a load of cards and has a high chance for either unlocking the new card, or getting many copies of it.

Clan chests end on Wednesday, but you can save it until Friday to open it and get a chance to earn the new cards. That is IF you can resist the temptation.

Tournament or Challenge Chests

The same applies to Tournament or Challenge Chests! The chest contents are determined AFTER you click on it. That means even if you earned your tournament or challenge chest before the newly released card, you can still get a chance to unlock it.

Typically, Challenge Chests are the better way to spend gems to unlock new cards assuming you are able to get a higher number of wins. Instead of spending 400 Gems on 10 Epics, you can try using that on Grand Challenges, being able to get up to 88000 gold and 4400 cards including 44 Epic cards and a high chance for a Legendary.

Tournaments have fallen out of the game, however if you are able to win the higher gem tournaments, usually hosted by Youtubers, you can earn an enormous amount of cards as well!

Donating/Requesting

Although many players shy from doing this, go ahead and donate your new card! The less of a card you have, the more often your chests will have that card to replace it. Eventually in the near future, you will have enough of that card that you won’t be afraid to donate it.

It is all about patience. Also, be wary when requesting the new card as many clan members may not have unlocked it yet or are not willing to donate it so don’t waste a request on new cards when you have other cards to level up as well

Upgrading

Another way Clash Royale tries to balance your cards depends on how much you upgrade them. To achieve the best result, do NOT upgrade the new card until you have a great amount of it.

When your card remains at level 1, you will receive more of it from chests because the game wants you to upgrade it. Leaving it at level 1 will allow you to stash up a good amount of it. Ever wonder why you have enough rage spells to upgrade to level 5 now? It is because yours is probably sitting at level 1 and you are collecting a huge stash of it.

Deck Formatting

Often when new cards come out, players try to force the card into their current deck. This happened with Dart Goblin a lot, however players quickly realized that dart goblin has it’s own type of deck.

When experimenting with the new card, instead of adding it to your deck, try a whole new type of deck that utilizes the new card to its full potential.

That will get you the most wins and success with it. Be wary that some new cards are released as under-powered, as what happened with Royal Giant, but are later buffed a lot, so don’t sweat when your new card doesn’t seem to be earning you any wins.

Also, some cards, such as Tornado, require a great amount of skill and card knowledge to play well and these shouldn’t defer you from trying.

Thanks and I hope these tips helped 🙂

Clash Royale Tournaments – An Ultimate Guide

13

This Clash Royale Tournaments Comprehensive Guide are aimed at anyone trying to become a stronger, more dangerous, opponent. These posts will ultimately help you with ANY strategy game that requires precise and critical thinking. I’ve been in multiple tournaments for different activities, my best accomplishments come from chess tournaments. Ive won about 10 in the last 2-3 years so I know a thing or two about Tournament Preparation. So, these posts are for EVERY experience level.

Tournament Guide

Ultimate Guide to Clash Royale Tournaments

Playing Under Pressure

We’ve all been here– Rather it be online, ranked matches, in real life or whatever you’re competing in. We’ve all had to play under pressure at one point or another. Some people love playing under pressure, while others, in most cases, 90% of new-comers, don’t. What makes being “under pressure” so nerve-wrecking is you think you should be up to expectations, usually causing you to make misplays or mistakes that you never see yourself making in casual games or ladder matches– such as dropping wrong cards, panicking when your opponent plays something quick and your mind blanks and you give them elixir advantage. What separates top players from mediocre players is the ability to perform at a higher level despite the obstacles and adversity they may face. Here’s a few ways to work around these common mistakes and play against your odds:

  • Forgive your mistakes. This is the single most important thing you can do. You should never beat yourself up over a misplay or mistake that you made 30 seconds in to the game. Clash Royale is a “Right Now” game, meaning it only matters what’s happening right now, not what happened in the past. Recognize your misplay, remind yourself that you’re not perfect, and move on. It doesn’t matter if you’re down 2 towers and there’s 60 seconds left. Fight until the very end. If you get discouraged, at any point in the game, you WILL lose. Always remember…you’re better than every you play against, you just have to prove it. Don’t be your own worst enemy.
  • Don’t forget to eat and drink. This is another key factor for performing well. This might not seem like it’s really important or that it doesn’t play a big factor in competition but it does. If you haven’t eaten or If you’re not hydrated you will not play properly. Drink Water, not caffeine.
  • Sleep. If you’re playing in a serious tournament, you should get the proper amount of required sleep beforehand. Atleast 8 hours. Sleep is key to everyday activity not just tournaments. But if you want to perform at your absolute best, you need proper sleep.
  • Pressure or Performance anxiety goes away with experience. Experience is gained through time and time is gained through experience. Read my last post about this. Once you actually understand this, you can use “Pressure” to your advantage. If you make a misplay at any time throughout your match, due to nervousness, understand it happens to all of us, so it’s natural. This is nothing to be embarrassed of. Just shake it off and keep playing. Don’t worry about people making fun of your mistakes. Remember YOU are the one competing NOT them.
  • Nobody is going to take it easy on you or let you win. Everyone wants the same outcome; winning. Just because you’re new, nobody is going to take it 50% on you. Take this as a learning experience; prizes and pride is on the line. This is actually a sign of acceptance. If you want to be considered a top player, you need to prove it. There’s more to tournaments than just joining them and praying for the best. Study your opponent and try to see what his playstyle is, learn it, and break him down. I’ve wrote about this exact topic on how to break your opponent in my last strategy post.

clash royale tournament screenshot

Analyze Previous Tournaments

This is also really important– By doing so, you can find out what decks/playstyles were the most dominant in the past tournaments. Chances are, if they dominate that high up in one tournament, you’ll most likely find yourself playing against those in the next. Then you can prepare yourself for those certain archetypes and tech against them, if need be. After analyzing past tournaments, you should do the following:

  • Study you recent matches. When studying your matches, you should look for common mistakes that you’ve made and write them down on a piece of paper and learn what not to do next time. Now, this isn’t necessary for EVERY tournament that isn’t big, but it’s extremely important to do this for important tournaments if you want to get better.
  • Play friendlies. You should do his regardless but when you friendly your teammates a lot they eventually learn how you play and it’s easier for them to tell you how to fix your mistakes. If you wish to take this a step further, you can give them certain decks to use, so you can tech against it, to help you learn how to counter them so you’re not suprised when you see them.
  • Set a Goal. You should set a goal/goals before the tournament starts. Like, finishing atleast Top X or Win X amount of games. Have fun, your goals don’t need to all be serious. So, if you don’t meet your goals at the end of the tournament, then you can find the mistake that caused you from reaching that goal/goals and learn from it, making you a better player.
  • Analyze Your Goal. Analyze how many cards you want, and decide when you can stop playing once you reach a goal. We all want to win, but if you’re extremely high in trophies and you don’t want to risk losing it all and you’re guaranteed X amount of cards, stop playing and spectate other battles. If you beat someone easily, you can also attempt to snipe them and take more trophies. This is High-Risk, High-Reward that can pay-off big time. Know your ability and know when to stop playing to avoid tilt.
  • Prepare for your opponent. This is a no-brainer. I was contemplating on putting this in or not, but this needs to be addressed. Preparing for your opponent is, again, one of the most important thing you can do. You can see how they like to play, what they play, how they react to certain things and tech against it. If you’re in a long, standard, bracket-styled tournament, You can scout your opponent and learn to read them.

Conclusion

I’ve been in a lot of tournaments in my career, not just chess. There’s a lot of stuff that goes in to winning one and overall just becoming a better player. With the guides that I’ll be writing in the future, you can easily learn them and become a better, more dominant, competitive player. Stay tuned for more informative guides down the road.

Free Legendary Trick – Glitch or Algorithm?

6

Okay guys so today I am going to give you a super amazing trick letting you get a Free Legendary Card from the Free Chest in Clash Royale. This method works extremely well. It has been confirmed by lots of fans of Clash Royale Arena, including my friends from Altar of Heroes (Thank you so much guys!).

Free Legendary Clash Royale

I heard about this trick 2-3 months ago and just like lots of you guys, I thought it was just a joke. I have no idea who is the first guy revealing this trick (that’s great If someone can help us find out). A few days ago, I decided to give this “method” a try and surprisingly, I pulled out a Miner from the Free Chest.

Okay I think I should start talking about the main topic right now xD.

NoteThis is an extremely specific trick and you need to follow every single step below. Don’t skip any single one otherwise you will break our algorithm.

Steps to get a Free Legendary Card from the Free Chest

Step 1: Just play until you get a Magical Chest dropped. No! Don’t unlock it yet!

Step 2: Clear all recent existing chests, except the Magical Chest of course. Then, unlock the Magical Chest and just open it as normal. Hopefully you can get a Legendary from the Magical Chest this time ;).

Step 3: Open 11 Silver Chests. Yes, 11 Silver Chests. Don’t open anything else (Free Chest, Crown Chest, Gold Chest or even Super Magical Chest).

Note: This is the tricky part because not all Magical Chest can be used in this method. There are only 2 Magical Chest in the cycle allowing you to open up to 11 Silver Chests before your chest slots are filled by Gold Chests. Please take a look at this page to see the whole chest cycle. In short, the 2nd and 4th Magical Chest are those ones.

Step 3: Open 2 Gold Chests. Again, don’t open anything else during this time!

Step 4: Wait 24 hours. Seriously, don’t do any battle or open any chests in 1 day.

Step 5: Open 2 Free Chests: By now, you have 2 Free Chests stored so just open them. This step take you no more than 10 seconds.

Step 6: Open 1 more Silver Chest.

Step 7: Open the Free Chest. This chest should obtain a Legendary card for you.

Sounds like a joke right? Yes, it is. But, I got a Miner for my small account yesterday by following this method:

miner-free-chest

Okay, here are some last tips for you:

  • You can join any battle before the Step 4.
  • Don’t GEM these Chests. I don’t know why, it’s the algorithm and this is confirmed by my friends.
  • All chests must be dropped from the SAME Arena. Yes, seriously. If you really want to get a Legendary, why don’t try to stop the pushing progress for just a few days, right?

Doc Storm uploaded a video about this trick a few weeks ago and there are lots of players confirming that this method work wells. You can take a look at here for more details.

Okay guys hopefully you can get the Legendary Card from the Free Chest.

Don’t forget to attach the screenshot of your Legendary in the comment section. I really need the confirmations from you guys! Good luck!

Important Card Level Breakpoints That Give You Easy Trophies!

3

Undoubtedly Supercell has made lots excellent match-ups between some special cards in Clash Royale, which can totally the results of our battles. Have you ever noticed that your Zap can’t always 1 hit Goblins, or something like that? Yea, that’s right, today, let’s talk about this guys!

clash-royale-cards

By taking the advantage of this, you can deal with players with high level cards easier. Not only that, upgrading some important cards for the edge will help you get tons of advantages in the battle. Like the example I said at the start, If your opponent Zap can’t kill your Goblins while you are sending with your Hog Rider, they can even solo kill the Tower.

  • Zap can 1 hit Minions If it is 2 level higher.
  • Zap can 1 hit Goblins If they are at the same level.
  • Fireball can 1 hit Wizard and Musketeer If it is 1 level higher.
  • Minions can soak 3 hits from the Arena Towers If they are at the same level with the Towers.
  • Goblins can soak 3 hits from the Tower If they are 1 level higher.
  • Arrows can 1 hit Minions even when Minions are 2 levels higher.
  • Arrows can 1 hit Princess If Arrows is 7 levels higher.
  • Cannon can take up to 5 shots from the Royal Giant If they have the same level.
  • Bomber can 2-shots Barbarians even when Barbarians are 2 levels higher.
  • Rocket can 1 hit Elixir Collectors even when Collectors are 2 levels higher.
  • Updating…

Take the advantage of this and upgrade cards in your deck which can change the whole battle, especially If you are at low Arenas, when there are lots of matchups like level 6 Vs. level 4. Every single small interaction like this can determine the result of the whole battle so pay attention to them!

My top priorities are Goblins, Zap and Fireball because:

  • Level 6 Fireball can punch through most Arena 6 players since most of them only have level Rares. Level 6 Fireball also can deal loads of damage to high level Barbarians.
  • High level Goblins can’t be killed by Zap, when coupled with Hog Rider, we have a deadly combo.
  • Zap is necessity to counter Goblins. You will want to upgrade it to level 9 as soon as possible!

Okay guys do you have any other interaction! Feel free to share them here!

P.E.K.K.A Trifecta Deck

87
pekka trifecta deck

This P.E.K.K.A Trifecta is such a very funny and very strong deck. I was testing it yesterday and got 10 wins in a row in Legendary Arena. Let’s take a look at this deck guys, you will like it for sure!

pekka trifecta deck

P.E.K.K.A Trifecta Deck

Clash Royale P.E.K.K.AClash Royale Mini P.E.K.K.AClash Royale Dark PrinceClash Royale Wizard
Clash Royale SkeletonClash Royale ZapClash Royale PoisonClash Royale elixir collector

As we all know that since the 11 Elixir trick was nerfed, P.E.K.K.A Double Prince deck is not really good as before. But with the support from splash damage dealers, Dark Prince and Wizard, this deck can help you to easily steamroll the way to the opponent’s King Tower. Wizard + Mini P.E.K.K.A is the shining defensive utilization of this deck as they can easily shred both swarm and tankers (Giant, Royal Giant, Giant Skeleton, Sparky, …)

On Offense

While playing this deck, the perfect starting hand would contain Elixir Collector and P.E.K.K.A. But don’t fret If you don’t have either in your starting hand because you can play defensively first then place your Elixir Collector down and start gaining Elixir advantage.

Only place your P.E.K.K.A down behind your King’s Tower once you have accumulated at least 8 Elixir. P.E.K.K.A + Wizard + Dark Prince is the ideal combo you always want to build but truly P.E.K.K.A + Wizard or P.E.K.K.A + Dark Prince is pretty deadly before the x2 Elixir time. Once your P.E.K.K.A reaches the bridge, drop your Wizard behind her, as well as Dark Prince.

Depending on your opponent’s decks, you can use the Poison on both offense and defense. If you can use the Poison on offense, it is usually a guaranteed Tower.

x2 Elixir time? Just use the same strategy! Drop your P.E.K.K.A behind your King’s Tower. This deck is dominating during the x2 Elixir time. If you can do it well, you can even use

On Defense

While launching a big push, I usually save only Mini P.E.K.K.A and Skeletons (of course) on defense. Mini P.E.K.K.A is very strong against tank pushes (Giant, Royal Giant, …). But sometimes you have to sacrifice the Wizard for defense in order to deal with swarms. Pay attention! Don’t use the Poison on offense If your opponent didn’t drop any horde. Don’t over commit If you know that your push always gets halted.

During the test, I defeated Royal Giant Decks, Giant + Balloon Decks, Hog Trifecta, some Miner Decks, Spawner Decks and some other P.E.K.K.A decks. Lava Hound is hands down the hardest matchup for me while using this deck. It is unbeatable because we don’t have any defensive building.

Top 10 Cards for Underleveled Players

51

Hey! Nitrome95 here coming with a top 10 cards for underleveled players.

How did I come up with this list? I made a list of every level 8 at 3000+ or level 9 at 3500+ that I played to make this list.

I decided to make this list to help you guys who get frustrated with facing higher leveled people. Some of these cards are used because they are simply good. Others, however may surprise you.

Top 10 Cards for Underleveled Players

Best Cards for Underleveled Players

#10 – Mega MinionClash Royale Mega Minion

Of course this card is on the list. Since it is resistant to most spells, except Lightning and Rocket, it serves its purpose no matter its level. Great on offense and defense and can fit in almost every deck archetype. However, almost everyone uses this card so that includes underleveled players.

#9 – Royal GiantClash Royale Royal Giant

Another obvious choice. If you focus on upgrading him enough, he can be 1 or even 2 levels higher that the level of your King’s Tower. Solid stats and long range help a lot. This card isn’t located at higher rank because he is expensive, especially if your opponent has hard counters to your Royal Giant.

#8 – SparkyClash Royale Sparky

This is where it starts getting weird. Surprisingly, lots of underleveled players use Sparky! My guess is that its insane Damage-per-Hit doesn’t increase much when you upgrade it, making it non level dependent. It’s also an underused card in the meta, catching your opponents off guard when used. This card opens the window for lots of spell bait decks.

#7 – Lava HoundClash Royale Lava Hound

I am thoroughly confused about why underleveled players use Lava Hound. If your Lava Hound is underleveled, the Lava Pups will be one shot by zap. Something that I notice about Lava Hound players I know is that they play that deck style almost religiously. This could give them lots of practices since it is available early in the game.

#6 – Hog RiderClash Royale Hog Rider

There is nothing really special ability that makes this card able to compete in higher trophy ranges as a low level. Hog Rider players have a very good sense of fundamentals, which will get you really far in the game.

#5 – Barbarian HutClash Royale Barbarian Hut

My top sleeper pick in this game IMO. It does such a great job creating a brick wall in your defense, preventing even the largest of pushes from passing through. The level doesn’t really matter, as Barbarians at any level will still do insane chip damage at the tower and always force your opponent to play defensively.

#4 – Giant SkeletonClash Royale Giant Skeleton

Yup, the worst tank in the game. Players that use this card understand that, so their main purpose with this card isn’t to get it to the tower; it’s more like a support troop. A popular combo is the giant skeleton hog rider. The Giant Skeleton with some support troops clear out most of your opponent’s defense, allowing your Hog Rider to sneak past to the tower.

#3 – X-Bow

Clash Royale X-BowX-Bow is such a good win condition that I’m surprised that not that many people use it. No matter its level, it does devastating amounts of damage to the enemy tower. It requires great skill to predict your opponent’s next move, making a skilled but underleveled player the perfect candidate for this card. Players will not expect this card to pop out, adding a surprise element to your play.

#2 – Rocket

Clash Royale RocketHere’s another high skill high reward card that doesn’t depend of levels. If you defend with lots of positive elixir trades, sit back and watch your rocket decimate the opponent’s tower. Can also be used to destroy support troops no matter the level.

#1 – Goblin Hut

Clash Royale Goblin HutThe number one spot goes to… GOBLIN HUT! You heard me right, GOBLIN HUT! Literally every underleveled player uses this card. It’s an amazing on defense to disrupt your opponent’s attack rhythm. IMO the least level dependent card in the game because unlike the Furnace, Spear Goblins always survive a tower hit for the chip damage. This card’s main gain from upgrading is its HP, and that’s not a very important part of it.

Honorable Mentions

  1. Fireball
  2. Log
  3. Graveyard
  4. Ice Golem

That was a bit of a short guide. If you are struggling with high card levels in your arena, consider using one of these cards.

Comment below if you have any other cards that you want to share. Take care everybody and have a happy X-Mas (or Hanukkah) (or Kwanza) (or winter?) :D.

Clash Royale New Tournaments Feature

Okay so finally, Supercell has introduced the new Clash Royale Tournaments Feature, which will be added in the upcoming game update! Do you want to read a bit more info about this new feature? Do you want to join the upcoming in-game Tournaments? Here you go!

Clash Royale New Tournaments Feature

Clash Royale Tournaments – New In-Game Feature

The Fundamentals:

As we all can see, skill and experience help players bring a special depth into our gameplay. As a result, we need to aim to have the tournaments unlock at a the Tournament Card Levels, as you can see in the image below.

Clash Royale Tournament

These rules can give players an exciting and achievable mid-team goal, make Clash Royale more interesting to play.

Proximity:

Each Tournament will be hosted for a certain location. This makes the matchmaking better, faster and there will be more active spectators. Of course the precision can be improved but It is not allowed.

This is how the upcoming Tournaments will be shown in game:

clash-royale-tournament

Inclusiveness

Instead of requiring players to be online at the exact times, Supercell will use a closed matchmaking system. In this system, each tournament has its own leader-board and matchmaking pool. Also, you don’t need to leave your current Clan in order to join a Tournament anymore. This is awesome!

Creation:

All Tournaments are free to join but it will cost Gems to create. However, don’t worry, those creation cost will become the prize pool. There will be numerous sizes of Tournaments can be held.

Player can start hosting Tournaments at level 8.

Prizes:

The Prize pool should be distributed so that every player sitting in the top half of the Tournament will be able to get one Tournament Chest, and of course, the top 1 player will get the biggest one. Supercell wants to be a lot of winners in every Clash Royale Tournament!

clash royale tournament chest

Also, in the largest Tournament, the top 1 player will win a big Tournament chest containing 15,000 cards (guaranteed 500 Epics and 1 Legendary inside) <—- This is awesome!

Balance:

You can join only 1 tournament at a time but you can “leave” and “join” the other one at any time, of course the left progress will be lost.

However, you can’t join another one while opening a Tournament Chest. This will give you a natural “pause” between tournaments. Also, you an hold only one Tournament Chest at a time and it doesn’t take any slot in your 4 slots.

Why Bowler is a Great Card!

83
Bowler Clash Royale

I have been facing loads of Bowler decks these days in Clash Royale but seems like lots of players still don’t know how to use this guy properly. Today, I am going to some you some small tips and a pretty nice deck for the Bowler! Hopefully you will enjoy this post! I have testing him in Tournaments for a few days and getting lots of great results.

Bowler Clash Royale

Why you should give Bowler a try!

First of all, Bowler is such a beast on defense. He can ruin every kind of ground push, regardless of how big it is.

While defending against Giant beatdown decks, he can easily manage to damage Giant and supports behind. He also has a pretty impressive amount of HP, which can soak damage for your support troops behind a few seconds. That’s exactly what I call value.

Against Trifecta decks, he shines. He can easily kill a Hog Rider before it hits your Tower. It’s even an Elixir advantage If your opponent supports his Hog with Fire Spirits, Ice Spirit or Goblins. Then, you can easily go for the counter push. He completely stops a strong push after just a few seconds, gives you a great Elixir advantage.

Bowler completely counters Spawner Decks. He can quickly remove swarms.

On offense, he serves the same role of the cute Sparky. Sometimes, he is even better than Sparky at supporting tankers and weak troops because of his better rate of fire, the pushback effect and the pretty long straight path of his rocks. Of course, he is much weaker than the Sparky at finishing towers but remember how useful he is on offense! In addition, his rocks can target the opponent’s Tower from the bridge, which is very nice.

So, basically, you can use him instead of Sparky in loads of popular Sparky decks, especially Royal Giant Sparky deck as he gives it more defensive power.

Here is the deck I have been using these days on Tournaments. Although my Bowler is just level 2, I have been getting lots of impressive results:

Clash Royale Lava HoundClash Royale Royal GiantClash Royale Ice WizardClash Royale elixir collector
Clash Royale CannonClash Royale ZapClash Royale Fire SpiritsClash Royale Mini P.E.K.K.A

Want more tips? Take a look at this video:

In short:

  • If you struggle against Hut Decks, Trifecta Decks, give this guy a chance.
  • If you really want to run a Royal Giant Sparky deck, give this guy a chance.
  • If you want to try something new, give this guy a chance.
