Hey guys it’s Ash and today I’ll be sharing a mega post for all players, all arenas, centered around the very special Giant.

We’re going to go through the best decks and battling tutorials for all arenas!

Best Clash Royale Giant Decks

Throughout the history of Clash Royale, the Giant had always been one of the deadliest offensive troops in the game. He costs 5 Elixir and directly targets buildings and crown towers. For only 1 more Elixir, he has more than twice the HP of a Hog Rider. Not only that, he hits hard with his big fists. He’s slow, but that’s actually a big advantage for him because you can play the Giant at the back, and by the time he gets to the bridge, you’ll have all your Elixir back, which allows you to create very big and powerful combinations that are very hard to stop.

Arena 1, 2 and 3

Here are three decks that I recommend beginners in Arenas 1, 2, and 3 use with the Giant. The Giant is easily the best card in these arenas.

Arena 1-3 = Giant, Musketeer, Witch, Fireball, Arrows, Goblins, Spear Goblins, Knight
Arena 1-3 = Giant, Prince, Musketeer, Bomber, Arrows, Fireball, Goblins, Spear Goblins
Arena 1-3 = Giant, Baby Dragon, Mini P.E.K.K.A, Archers, Fireball, Arrows, Spear Gobs, Goblins

Arena 4

The best counter to the Giant is the Inferno Tower, but you won’t see much of the Inferno Tower until Arena 5, where it’s unlocked. And so, for Arenas 1 to 4, the combination of Giant, Witch, Musketeer and/or Mini Pekka is the deadliest combination, simply because there’s really no way to stop it. The Witch can instantly destroy a Skeleton Army, especially now that she one shots the Skeletons. The Mini Pekka, with it’s really high DPS can destroy support killers like Knight or Prince, when behind the Giant. Not to mention, Fireball will not kill equal level Musketeer, Witch, or Mini Pekka behind a Giant.

Arena 5 & 6

Giant with Goblin Barrel is a super deadly combination in Arena 5 and 6 because you’re very rarely going to see the Legendary Log, which is the best counter to Goblin Barrel. While you unlock Zap Spell at Arena 5, meaning most people will have very low level Zap Spell. This makes the Goblin Barrel a very overpowered card, especially when you have a Giant to distract their Arena Tower, and especially when you can bait their spell with Skeleton Army. For Inferno Tower, we can use Minions to distract and Zap Spell to reset Inferno. You can use the Witch and Zap Spell to instantly kill Skeleton Army.

Giant with Balloon is another OP combination in Arenas 5, 6, and 7. Simply play the Balloon behind the Giant, and it becomes super difficult to stop it from destroying a tower, especially in the lower Arenas where there aren’t many good defensive options. The best counter to Giant + Balloon is the Inferno Tower, so we have Zap Spell to reset the Inferno Tower and Minions to distract and kill. Minion Horde is another big weakness to Giant Balloon, but we can instantly kill them with Arrows or Fire Spirits.

Arena 7

Pairing the Prince with Giant is one of my favorite combinations. This is a very deadly Giant beatdown deck that takes advantage of the Elixir Collector. With Elixir Collector placed down, you have lots of Elixir in reserve that can build up quickly and allow you to completely overwhelm your opponent. This deck has the advantage of destroying your opponent on two lanes, by making a push with your Giant on one lane and Prince on the other lane. The Lightning Spell is an excellent spell used with the Giant as you can use it to destroy and reset Inferno Tower. You can also reset Inferno with Zap, so you have lots of ways to get through tough defenses.

Arena 8, 9 and 10

Giant with Bowler is a very intimidating combo in the higher arenas, especially when the Bowler can push back or destroy more than half the troops in the game. Coupled with Elixir Collector and Poison, this deck provides you with one of the strongest single lane attacks in the game.

Another super deadly combination with Giant and Bowler is adding Graveyard to the mix. If your opponent has Inferno Tower to stop Giant and Bowler, then what are they going to do when you use Graveyard with Poison instead? This deck has multiple ways of collapsing your opponent’s defense with multiple powerful combinations.

Mirror your game screen on your Mac/PC

For iOS users

If you are using Mac

Connect your Apple device to your Mac using the Lightning to USB cable.
On your Mac, open the QuickTime Player → File → New Movie Recording.
Click the small Arrow icon next to the red Record button.
Choose your connected device as the source Camera.
Also, choose your device name in the Microphone section If you want to record game sound.

If you are using Windows

Download LonelyScreen at here. This is a totally freemium software which is used to mirror your Apple device’s screen to your Windows PC. You can also use LonelyScreen to record your iOS device’s screen.
Please note that, while installing, don’t untick the Bonjour software, it is required to mirror your screen.
Optional: Open LonelyScreen → Change the default LonelyScreen Airplay Server on Mac/Win to your desired name.
On your Apple device, swipe up from the very bottom to open the Control Center.
Tap on AirPlay then choose your computer name.
You should see your device screen mirrored on your computer now.

For Android users:

On your phone, download and install Mobizen at here.
Still on your phone, go to Settings → Developer → Enable USB Debugging.
On your PC, download Mobizen at here (download for Mac at here) and then install it. After installing, open Mobizen on your Mac/PC.
Connect your phone to your PC using the USB cable.
On your phone, enter the numbers showing on the computer screen to get them paired.
You should see your phone screen mirrored on the PC screen now.

Set up OBS Studio

By now, you should have the Clash Royale game screen showing on your PC/Mac. Next, I am going to show you how to stream your screen with Twitch and Facebook!

Download then install the OBS Studio Software at here. This software is used to stream your PC/Mac screen.
Open OBS Studio. Under the Sources section, click the + sign then choose “Window Capture”.
Create a new window → Select the window showing your game screen in the dropdown list.
Create a new window in the same section then choose Face Time HD Camera If you want to have a facecam on the screen.
Go to Settings → Steam tab → paste your Twitch Stream key. If you want to stream on Facebook, please go to this section to continue.
You can edit the layout of the streaming screen If you want. It’s very easy, just like drag and drop.
Click on Start Streaming button!

How to get Twitch Stream key

Sign Up for an account on Twitch. Confirm the account via your email.

Go to the Dashboard → Settings Tab → Show Stream Key.

The Stream Key should look like this: live_475712_aslDnNXapslp89SmPwxl7S0OaJ

How to get Facebook Stream key

Visit this website then click on the Create Live Stream Facebook button.
A window will pop up. You need to Sign In with your Facebook account then press Next.
Another window will popup, giving you the URL server and Stream Key
Open OBS on your PC/Mac →
On the website, click Preview → Wait a few seconds until your screen shows up → Edit anything you want → press Go Live.

Play and Stream Clash Royale directly on your PC

If you want to stream the game in a lot easier way, this part is for you!

Firstly, you need to download and then install Clash Royale PC using Bluestacks.

Once everything is ready, start Bluestacks, click at the Camera icon locating at the top left then choose Start Streaming.

You will see these two options. Depending on your need, choose either Facebook or Twitch.

Hi there, Corrosive Logic is back with another guide on Giant Beatdown basics.

My last couple of guides have been of top end grand challenge/tournament decks, but today I’ve decided to make something for the lower Arena players.

This is just a very basic guide of a Giant deck, and a very basic explanation of how to play beatdown decks!

I have also made a video with gameplay and explanation so check it out below!

Giant Beatdown Basics

How to Play a Beatdown Deck

Beatdown is basically a slow build up deck. Usually they contain the elixir pump but in this case it doesn’t. Usually you play defense until double elixir time, then you exploit the double elixir to conjure a massive unstoppable push.

When you are playing Beatdown, you are not too worried about receiving damage. You should sacrifice a little of your own crown tower damage in order to gain elixir to build up your push.

In these lower arenas, most of the time you won’t even need to build up a push. You can simply use your troops to defend and turn them into an unstoppable counter push. For example in this deck you can use the musketeer and the baby dragon to defend say a giant, then after your successful defense you can play the giant in front of your troops and turn it into a counter push.

The Important Roles of a Beatdown Deck

Win Condition – The main win condition is also the tank, in this deck it’s the Giant.
Ranged Support Card(s) – In this case it is the musketeer and Baby Dragon. These are important for defending and converting into counterpushes
Heavy Hitter – Also a support card but usually used to take down higher HP units. This card won’t appear in every beatdown deck, but in this one we have the Prince. The Prince’s charge is very effective against higher HP cards such as Mini P.E.K.K.A, Knight, Inferno, Cannon etc.
Building – The only buildings used in beatdown decks are Pumps, Tombstone or Furnace. You rarely see Cannon or Inferno because they don’t contribute to a big push.
MVP Spells – These are a lot more important than people realize. Without them, your pushes can be countered easily. Fireball/Lightning are crucial for breaking down your opponent’s defense.

Hard Counters to the Giant

A problem lots of beginners face is the Inferno Tower. Once it charges up there’s nothing you can do to save your Giant. If you can, save enough elixir so that when you are pushing you can Lightning the inferno tower and the crown tower. If you have minions/minion horde you could also play them beside the river just before the inferno locks onto your Giant. If you have a big enough push going, you can zap the Inferno Tower as long as you have sufficient support troops to kill the Inferno before it charges up again. The same goes for the Inferno Dragon.
Another hard counter to Giant are swarm high DPS troops. These include Goblin Gang, Goblins, Minion Horde, Skeleton Army. These troops can be killed or highly damaged by the Zap, which leaves your Baby Dragon to finish them off easily.
Of course there’s the beefy heavy hitters, Mini P.E.K.K.A, Elite Barbarians, and Barbarians. Against Barbarians try and Fireball if you can, you basically need lots of support units. Against Elite Barbarians, Fireball or Lightning too. Mini P.E.K.K.A is tricky, it’s not worth using Fireball or Lightning on it so you need lots of support units to kill it quickly e.g. Prince + Musketeer.

Giant – A Defensive Card?

Something that players don’t seem to do is using the Giant as a defensive card. It has an insane amount of HP so this tank is so powerful on your own side of the map. The Giant can be used defensively against both small pushes or massive pushes. For example, if your opponent has 3 Fire Spirits coming towards your crown tower, instead of letting them land you could place your giant to absorb them.

Against big pushes you can place the giant on your side to tank, while you place support units such as the Musketeer to kill your opponents big push.

Clan Battle Chest – 110 Wins to Unlock the Biggest Chest!

Clan Battle Chest is the new Clash Royale chest which comes up with the new Clan Battle 2v2 game mode.

Clan Battle is the new event in Clash Royale, which happens every other weekend. Which means, when the Clan Chest event is over, the Clan Battle Chest will happen in the next week and so on.

Clash Royale Clan Battle Chest

Basic Information

Clan Battle Chest is a type of chest which belongs to a Clan. This chest is very similar to the Clan Chest!
The Clan Battle Chest event starts every other Friday and stays for 3 days. All players in the Clan will have the opportunity to gather wins for the Chest by playing Clan Battles.
In these 3 days, players will try to gather as many wins as possible to unlock the highest chest tier, getting the max rewards.
After three days, the Clan Battle Chest will be available for opening. If your Clan archives the highest tier chest before the event ends, you will still be able to play Clan Battles.
The chest rewards don’t differ between players but its contents are based on player’s Arenas. For example, a player in Arena 7 can’t pull out Arena 8 cards from the chest.
You need to contribute at least one win to the Clan Battle Chest in order to get the Chest!
During the event, the player who has just joined the Clan must wait until the next event (2 more weeks) to contribute.

New Game Mode – Clan Battle

Start the Clan Battle in your Clan Tab! Once a friend accepted the invitation, you two will be paired with an enemy Clan.

Here are something important you want to know about this new game mode:

Clan Battle Mode will be available on March 24th 2017.
Player will be able to see partner’s deck in just a few seconds at the beginning of the match.
Player will be able to see where the opponent drops cards.
The Arena Map is slightly bigger. It is extended behind the King’s Tower.
Elixir Bars are not shared. Each has 10 Elixir max (20 in total).
Elixir Collector only gives Elixir to the right owner.
Buff Spells like Clone, Rage etc. are shared.
The King’s Tower are connected with doubled Firepower.
Rocket will be able to hit the Arena Tower and the King’s Tower nearby.
Elixir replenishes 85% as fast and Overtime Elixir replenishes 70% as fast.

Four New Troops: Bandit, Bats, Night Witch and Heal

Bandit: She has melee attack range and the special charge ability. She only charges when there is a target 4-6 tiles away on the ground. While charging, she is invulnerable. Like the Prince, her charge does x2 damage. While Charging, she can one shot Archer, Bomber, Dart Goblin, Princess etc.

Bats: The Bats are like flying Skeletons. With 2 Elixir, you can summon 4 of these. Their stats are similar to Skeletons, same HP, same DPS, but they can fly so you can use them effectively against Inferno Tower and Inferno Dragon. This is also an excellent Zap bait card!

Night Witch: This is pretty similar to Witch but Night Witch spawns Bats while Witch spawns Skeletons. Night Witch costs only 4 Elixir. She has 85 more HP than a normal Witch.
Night Witch is a melee attack troop. She also spawns Bats very quickly, one wave each 5 seconds.

Heal: The Rare Card which can heal your troops in 3 seconds. At level 7, It can heal up to 528HP with the speed of 176HP/s. Its radius is 3.

The new Arena 11

The new final Arena, Arena 11, unlocks at 3,800 trophies.

The old Legendary Arena, Arena 10, is named Hog Mountain Now!

Seems like Arena 11 is unlocked at 400 trophies.

The New League System

The new Leagues system unlocks from 4000 Trophies!

Once you reached 4,000 Trophies, you will enter Challenger I.

Trophy record will reset every 1 month instead of 2 weeks. Trophy reset is more balanced now:

If you are in Challenger leagues, you will get reset to 4000 trophies.
If you are in Master leagues, you will get reset to 4300 trophies.
If you are in Champion leagues, you will get reset to 4300 trophies.

Challenger I: 4000 Trophies

Challenger II: 4300 Trophies

Challenger III: 4600 Trophies.

Master I: 4900 Trophies.

Master II: 5200 Trophies.

Master III: 5500 Trophies

Champion: 5800 trophies

Grand Champion: 6100 Trophies.

Ultimate Champion: 6400 Trophies.

You will get a Draft Chest when the season resets. Depending on your league, you can get chests with different sizes.

Once you reached a new League, you will stick with its chest forever. For example, Once you reached Ultimate Champion at 6400 Trophies, even If you drop down to Challenger I at 4000 Trophies, you still get the Ultimate Champion chest when the season resets.

The interesting part of this chest is you can pick the card you want to get between two. Remember the Draft Challenge? This chest is pretty similar to it!

New Challenges

Bandit Draft Challenge: This is basically the normal Draft Challenge with a lot of new rewards:

2 wins = 100 Gems.
4 Wins = 8000 Gold.
6 Wins = 1 Magical Chest.
9 Wins = 25000 Gold
12 Wins = Bandit – The new Legendary Card!

Other New Features and Hidden Updates

Crowns from Challenges now count towards Clan Chests and Crown Chests.
Max Epics now stack up to 5 cards.
New card unlock screen:

In the battle, you will see “You” instead of your username as before.
Some small UI changes.
Arena number removed (on the homescreen, under the Arena badge).
You are now able to see the stats of the cards at Tournament Level.
Players in Arena 10 will still be able to buy Legendary cards in shop.
There isn’t any special offer when a new card is released.
New Battle Ram sound when it hits the building.
New trophy limits for Clan: 4300 and 4600.
Clan Battle Chest level 10 requires 110 wins.
In the Clan Battle, If your partner leave the game, you will receive a notification. The enemy won’t receive any notification!
You don’t get victory gold in the Clan Battle 2v2 game mode.
New Trainers. The most powerful trainer is unlocked at 6000 trophies. It gains 1 Elixir every 0.7s.
You can sort your friends by Status or by Trophy.

All of the active players in Legendary Arena will be assigned to the 20,000 players League (once every 2 weeks and lasts for 1 week). The League is based on players’ trophies. League chest will appear in the Royal Ranking Interface.

Winning Gold will be doubled from March 17th to April 17th.
Goblin Hut will be renamed to Spear Goblin Hut.
Epic Card price in the Store reduced from 1000 Gold to 800 Gold. Epic is now a lot easier to get!
Players are now able to search and add friend directly in game. New Friend System.
Clan Chest event now starts every week, from Friday to Monday. Can be adjusted according to the active members of the Clan to choose the appropriate Clan Chest level.
New Clan Chest levels: 20 (4150 Crowns); 15 (3150 Crowns); 10 (1600 Crowns); 5 (550 Crowns). Higher Clan Chest levels = higher rewards.
New Task Chest. Players can complete a special task every day to get rewards from the Task Chest. You can get a Task Chest every 12 hours (up to 2 every day).
New 50 Gems option for Tournament: 25 players; Duration 1 hour; Preparation Time 2 hours; Top 1 player gets 15 cards and 88 Gold.

New Special Events

Three Bridge Challenge (March 17th): There will be a new bridge at the middle. More details will be added soon…

4 New Cards

Goblin Chalets: Goblins will come out from a cabin. The cabin spawns 2 Goblins every time. This is kinda “Stab Goblin Hut”.
Goblin Ninja: Unlocked at Jungle Arena. “He will be stealth for some times, he will disappear without a trace”.
Goblin Elder: The Goblin Leader. This is a Legendary card; 810 HP; 110 DPS; Attack Speed 1s; re-target 1s; targets both air and ground unit; Medium Movement Speed; Attack range 4.5 tiles; Deploy time 1s… Updating…
Forest Berries: Forest Berries can be collected in Jungle Arena and above. Seems like a spell which can be used anywhere on the map.

Challenge Changes

Classic Challenge Entry Free reduced to 7 Gems.
Grand Challenge Entry Free reduced to 75 Gems.

Best Anti-Royal Giant Decks

The Royal Giant is widely considered one of the most powerful cards within Clash Royale and as such, many medium to high level decks are focused around it. You’ll rarely find a day on the forums or Reddit where there isn’t at least one thread complaining that the Royal Giant is over powered. The reason for this is fairly simple. At both ends of the game, the Royale Giant isn’t that good. That is to say – a low leveled Royal Giant is fairly useless and an Royal Giant at max level arena is also fairly useless. But for everything in between, it’s extremely powerful. Players tend to try and over-level there Royal Giants because of the huge advantage it gives you and so playing from 2500 to 5000 trophies, you’ll find decks littered with the Royal Giant.

Hey guys it’s Ash and in this post I’m going to show you guys three great decks at countering the Royal Giant in the current meta game.

One of the biggest problems a lot of players have in the game is beating players who use high level Royal Giants. Since Royal Giant is a Common card, it’s pretty easy to level him up quickly, and so this makes it tough for the average player to deal with them when most of your Rare and Epic cards are underleveled in comparison to your opponent’s Royal Giant. So I’m going to share three decks that can easily shut down any Royal Giant player.

Best Anti-Royal Giant Decks

Hog Spell Bait Deck

The first deck is this Hog Rider + Goblin Barrel bait deck with super good defense against Royal Giant and other tanks.

You can bait Zap with your Skeleton Army or Inferno Tower. You can also bait The Log with your Skeleton Army or Princess, and then wreck your opponent with Hog Rider to distract their Arena Tower while sending Goblin Barrel after baiting their spell.

This deck absolutely ravages the Royal Giant as you have multiple tank killers. You have Inferno Tower, Mini P.E.K.K.A that does so much damage, Skeleton Army that does so much damage, along with Ice Spirit to freeze their Royal Giant while you kill it. You should have no problems against Royal Giants with this deck.

Hog Elite Barbarians

The next deck is another Hog Rider deck with Elite Barbarians. Elite Barbarians are one of the best counters to Royal Giant as they can not only kill a Royal Giant quickly, but can also provide you with a powerful counterpush.

Simply trying to defend against a Royal Giant won’t win you the battle, you need cards that can effectively counter the Royal Giant and then allow you to make a powerful counterpush.

Poison is back!

The last deck is this Giant beatdown deck. Most top players would use the Executioner instead of Ice Wizard, but the Executioner really isn’t going to help you much against a Royal Giant. Executioner is also getting a big nerf soon. However, the Ice Wizard is much cheaper at 3 Elixir and can significantly slow down the already slow Royal Giant, allowing your Prince, Mega Minion, and even Skeletons from your Tombstone to quickly kill the Royal Giant.

Draft Chest is the new Clash Royale chest which contains tons of cards and gold.

The most interesting part of this chest is that you can choose your desired reward between the two offers.

How to get Draft Chest?

In order to receive the Draft Chest, you have to be in a League. The lowest League is Challenge I, which unlocks at 4,000 Trophies. The highest League is Ultimate Champion League at 6400 Trophies!

When the season resets, you will get dropped down to certain thresholds. To read more about the new League system, please take a look at here.

Today, Supercell has given us some basic information for the new Clash Royale Leagues feature which are going to be added into the game in the upcoming huge update!

Let’s take a closer look to see how the Leagues system works!

How the Leagues system works

Above Legendary Arena are Leagues. It’s still Legendary Area and still offers the same size chest. The new Arena 11 chests offer 8% more cards compared to the lower Arena.

Challenger I: 4000 Trophies

Challenger II: 4300 Trophies

Challenger III: 4600 Trophies.

Master I: 4900 Trophies.

Master II: 5200 Trophies.

Master III: 5500 Trophies

Champion: 5800 trophies

Grand Champion: 6100 Trophies.

Ultimate Champion: 6400 Trophies.

Each season now resets every 1 month instead of 2 weeks as before.

The resets are more balanced now.

For example, If you are in Challenger leagues, when the season resets, you will get down to 4000 Trophies. If you are in Master leagues, when the season resets, you will get down to 4300 Trophies. Higher, you will get reset to 4600 Trophies!

So, there are 3 thresholds here:

Challenger’s League Trophy Reset: 4,000 Trophies.
Master’s League Trophy Reset: 4,300 Trophies.
Champion League’s Trophy Reset: 4,600 Trophies!

The new Draft Chest in Clash Royale

Challenger I unlocks at 4000 Trophies. If you get there, you will get 1 Draft Chest when the season resets!

The awesome thing about this chest is you can even pick the one you want between two cards, as you can see here!

Once you reached a certain League, you will lock into that chest regardless of how far you drop.

For example, once you reached Ultimate Champion at 6400 Trophies then drop to 4300 Trophies, you still get the Ultimate Champion Chest when the season resets.
